    WTF My bicep keeps twitching?

I just noticed my bicep keeps twitching it almost looked like a heart pumping up and down and this is with my arm completely relaxed. What's going on? Is this normal?

I've had that happen a few times before. It went away on its own, so I wouldn't worry too much about it (unless it doesn't go away).

Now it's funny when your shoulder/arm does it during an exam...that happened to me one time and I was worried someone would see it and freak out since it was pulsing randomly

A lot of twitches are related to Potassium deficiency. Potassium aids in neural synapsis.
You could also try a little magnesium, normally helps me.
In some cases it could be calcium leaks in the cells of the muscle.

Yes. Careful about these... I make sure I have 2g of Potassium via supplementation per day. It's just so easy to miss and not eat these.

Are you having a significant amount of caffeine or other stimulants? I get twitches in my eye if I have too much caffeine. Drives me CRAZY.

This can be a large number of things. My left quad, right where it connected to the knee, twitched for 10 days non stop. Made sleeping hard and me VERY irritable.

It could be either a potassium deficiency, or magnesium.

Turned out mine was caused by the allergy medicine I was taking, Allegra. I went off of it and it went away in 24 hours. If you started any new medications, those most likely could be the culprit.
The usefulness of a cup is in its emptiness.

Yeah I've gotten this near my lats/armpit area lately even though I dont isolate them and they aren't huge.

If this many people are experiencing this it shouldn't be too serious.

Sorry to bump this old thread but I ended up here via Google because of my left bicep twitching. I train so I figured the BB.com Google suggestion might be more relevant to me. Saw you mentioned Allegra! I started taking it last week. Bingo.

    Thumbs up

Mine twitched for like 10 days alternatively ..it twitched for a day thn off next day ...it stopped and never happened again though it made me very nervous but I researched their are alot of causes for it
    1 , magnesium levels
    2, potassium levels
    3 , vitamin d
    4 , b12 levels
    5 , dehydration
6, stress , lack of sleep , anexity
    7, unknown cause
    8 over trained muscles
So don't get tensed its normal thr r many reasons for it just be patient and try to divert your mind for it ..it will go away ... The more u focus on twitching , it will get worst
