After cutting (slowly) for 6-7 weeks, I'm starting to feel that I'm craving less food, and generally getting less hungry. Has anyone else experienced this? At first I was constantly hungry due to the calorie deficit, but now I can't even have a respectable cheat meal on Sunday. I'm full on half of what I used to eat for my cheat meal.
This is obviously a good thing, but I'm wondering if it's a normal thing to experience at this stage of a cut? And if it is, I guess anyone who is in the initial stages of their cut can use this as motivation... it gets easier after a while.

I also begin to feel less hungry. I have noticed though weight loss tends to decrease when I get to this stage to. I am not sure if it is due to metabolism slowing down or another factor but if I have a day or two over over maintenance then start cutting again I see better results and the cravings come back.

same here, once I get my body used to an eating routine, it becomes more like a feeding schedule, I really don't have any hunger issues anymore... I think hunger for the most part (unless you are eating extremely low calories like 800-1000) is mostly psychological.
I drink tons of water, milk, green tea and eat about 300 calories every 2 hours, I don't really have time to get hungry lol... sometimes it's actually annoying... like.. ugh I have to eat again ><
however that is if I am able to maintain my routine... if I miss a meal, or I mess up what I eat due to circumstances out of my control (not junk food, but sometimes not enough food etc) it sets me off balance for a little while until I get back to normal.Progress Blog:

Incline, what do you think it indicates ("bad sign")? Lower metabolism...
To answer your question, I always lose hunger during a cut. I do think part of it is in your head, too... all the things that used to wreak havoc on your tempted brain just don't have any power anymore... you're just not going to give in, so why bother thinking about it. It's a really mechanical state to be in in relation to food. lol Dietary Asceticism.

I wish! I am still super hungry. Ecspecially after cardio. I need to take in fruit immediately because I feel my blood sugar is so low.
Like another poster said, when i did the starvation diet yoyo, I could eat nothing for days and it didnt bother me. I am always hungry on this cut. After lifting I am this least hungriest, because I feel like hitting the sack.

I'm experiencing the exact same thing. I have been on a cut for only 3 weeks now but prior to my cut I was eating whatever I wanted to: fast food, beer, pizza, etc. and eating mass quantities.
Ever since I've changed my diet to lean meats, veggies, nuts, and shakes I have progressively become less and less hungry. Keep in mind this is with a very aggressive 4 day split with a cardio day or two which I also began once I started cutting.
All in all I think it's great and just using common sense I believe it's our stomach's shrinking and our mind's adapting to the new routine. There are some days, especially off days, where I can get away with eating a mere 1100 calories (at 210lbs).
I don't buy into the starvation or deprivation as long as I get my proper protein and essentials for the day.

Appetite can be so much of a mental game. If your cut is going well, and your seeing improvements, you probably have a better outlook and are not craving foods. Instead you have a positive sense of well being and that is making you less hungry.

Yes - losing your hunger is not a positive adaptation! It could mean a few bad things behind the scenes
1 Your thyroid function is decreasing so your metabolism is dropping
2 Your other internal body functions are deciding to slow
3 You are actually decreasing your activity levels without realizing
I remember on my previous cut I was at 1900-2000 cals, with intensive lifting and separate LISS and I realized I was getting lazier outside the gym, walking to class was getting to be so tiring, etc. Thats when u gotta re-feed to get some damn energy back, which in turn will rev up your body functions so you'll have faster metabolism, more activity level etcMy training log:

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Seems like there are a few different opinions out there. Maybe I should clear a few things up: I don't walk around never wanting food, I'm just not obsessing about it like I did in the initial stages of my cut. By the time I'm supposed to eat, I am hungry, and really enjoy my food. It's just the time in between meals that have gotten a lot easier. I'm averaging 1700 - 1800 calories; isn't that acceptable for someone my size?

man I wish I was less hungry on my cut, but instead I am always feeling more hungry...err well maybe not more hungry but I have more times when I feel hungry/like eating than I did before.....
the weird (or maybe not so weird, I dunno) thing is that I actually can't eat as much as I used to...like I get fuller a lot faster
EDIT: not sure if this could be a reason, but during my cut my new diet has me eating more meals than I was before (before I was just having my normal breakfast/lunch/dinner meals and were larger meals)

I noticed a significant drop in cravings once I got my pre, intra and post workout nutrition in order. I make sure I eat a meal with carbs and protein before my workout, sip xtend (or a similar intra-workout drink) during my workout and drink a shake consisting of 2 scoops of whey and one scoop of carbo fuel (pure carbohydrate powder) after my workout.
