how long can a protein shake sit for before it goes bad ?

i may have posted this in the wrong section... sorry if i did i didn't know where else to post it.

however, i've been wondering, i normally make two protein shakes around 11 am,i drink one, and then go to the gym, and then drink the second around 2 pm without refrigeration or ice. Is it still safe to drink them or do they go bad? Just in case it matters what my protein shake consists of its just basically 2 scoops of whey protein with milk and a banana. should i freeze it before i go out? any information would be greatly appreciated.

Milk at room temp for 3 hours is not good. I would eliminate the milk in the second shake and just fill it with water when you are done.

Well what i usually do is i mix 2 scoops of NF-Pro Whey protein with water at night before bed then leave it out next to my bed....when i get up to pee in the middle of the night i drink the shake really fast....Protein powder by itself is fine if u added milk it might go bad depending on how long it was left out

I do this during the day at work with 2 scoops of whey, oats and some LBA Pro and it tastes fine as well

I drink 3-4 hour "out of the fridge" milk/whey shakes frequently, lately they have actually been getting kind of warm/hot due to the weather and them sitting in my cup holder when i work out.

    No problems here.

I leave mine on the night stand as well. I will use milk from time to time, and I put a couple of ice cubes in it. Still fairly cold when I drink it prior to my bath room break!
