Unhappy Sore Legs Days After Running

can someone help me out with this problem?

i've been trying to get in shape for the past 3 months and i've noticed that after every jogging, cardio or HIIT session my legs get sore and stay sore many days after. This makes me take long brakes after training, sometimes up to 7 days.i really don't think i can get in shape if i take such long brakes.what is wrong with me?Am i doing something wrong?should i stretch more after running?

    please help

did you build up the volume gradually?
did you do a thorough dynamic warmup before running? a good dynmaic warmup should have you sweating lightly by the time you are finished.
7 days a week is too much for HIIT, 4 days a week max of cardiovascular activity is enough to get in shape. most require 24-36 hours to recover from.
what does your current schedule look like?

also, you should always do static stretches post workout. foam rolling and contrast showers can also decrease soreness and promote recovery.

    Soreness

From personal experience, make sure your diet is clean and that can fix a few problems.
Try Dynamic stretching before you go on your run, (Not static, static should go after the run), walk for about 5 minutes, than run. Than have a good stretching session(static).
For as long as you want.

If you are getting sore and not recovering, you may be overtraining. Consider taking a week off. If interval workouts are too taxing, drop them for a month or so and work on your base fitness by going on long, easy runs (as long as your joints don't hurt).

I used to get that, too. I wouldn't feel fresh enough to run for another 3-6 days, so I would wait. Then I started trying to run even though I was sore, and I found that even if I was really sore, by the time I was done warming up and stretching I felt totally fresh. I say just go every other day if you're sore or not, and you'll find that after your warmup you feel fine.
