3 MONTH WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE STARTS 08/09/2010!
Monday 8/9/2010 is the first day of this challenge and ends on Tuesday 11/9/2010
Hard work brings results! Together lets meet our goals and share the experience!
Pls be sure to list:
Name or use your forum name
Goals / Mission statement
Current Stats: height/weight/bf%/body measurements
Pictures (to be used as your before pics come November 9th!!)
Current Supplements used
+ more if needed!
I started this specifically as a 3 month challenge mainly to keep myself accountable and motivated through others wanting to do the same thing, starting off with a short term goal of 3 mos, id like to use this space to talk progress (by using photos and regularly posting), nutrition and supplements. Hopefully we can use this thread in 3 mos for others to do the same and if we successfully meet our goals, show others how we did it!
***EDIT This thread was originally a startup idea for a bodyspace group but decided against it because we ABSOLUTELY need to post pics to make this challenge effective.***

You got a point there Burn, but people are already joining, im committed to keeping that group up for these 3 mos even if its only me posting in the end. I wonder whats a good way of being able to post up pics without too much hassle, thats important! (links maybe?) dunno. Ill let the group decide.
BTW, your weightloss is pretty impressive man, thats awesome, would love to have you.

I'm In. Been looking for a group to lose weight with.
My Stats:
I weighed 226.8 this morning
Height: 5' 11"
I want to hit 200 or under in 3 months.
Thats 26.8lbs
12 weeks.
That's about 2lbs per week.
So that is 7000 calories I have to cut/burn every week.
1000 calories a day.
My BMR is: 2217 calories.
I can't survive on 1200 calories so I'm going to try to eat a 1700 calorie per day diet and burn at least 500 calories a day working out.
I have a bodybugg so I can start wearing that again to figure this junk out.
I think I can do it.. though this first week will be rough because my bday is Weds and I'll be 24. Meaning I'll be drinking weds and prolly at least friday night.
I'll find your group and post pics when I get home.

Just joined! I'm also doing the Double T challenge and have been at it for two and a half weeks so I still have plenty of fat to lose.
A quick about me:
Age: 24
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 210
Goal: Looking to get to 190ish. That could change, depending on how much muscle I am able to build.
Random: Currently a grad student going after Special Education. Work at home. Work out on a 4 day split.
Looking forward to losing weight with everyone!Last edited by Zephan; 08-08-2010 at 03:35 PM. Reason: Weight Update

Pumped
Count me in, Lets see what we can do.
5"9
191lbs
34" Waist
15.5" Bicep
Went from 245 in high school to 155lbs before I joined the Navy. I settle at about 175lbs but have went up to 191lbs since getting married. I'm good at losing weight if anyone has trouble, just never been that strong. My main goal will be to put on inches everywhere but my waist

I'm in
I think this might be good for me. Right now 219lbs at 5'7. Don't know body fat but it's not good I'm sure. Just started OEP and man it does eliminate your appetite. I think it works for me so far because now that I'm not nearly as hungry as freqently I can actually wait till I get home to eat healthy and not fall into to fast food trap. I would be happy as shizt if I can hit under 199.9 lbs in under 3 months. Good luck everyone!!!!!!!!!

Guys i'm torn on what to do because there's a few people already signed up on the group page, but in the end I want to keep it from morphing into two groups. All I know is there are some motivated people on both that I would like to hear from so if we can keep it to one place, even better!
Help me out!
-Here's some pros and cons below:
Group page:
Pros: ability to organize workouts, progress, nutrition and supplements on separate threads while keeping it under the same topic / (Do not have to sift through pages of posts to get info)
Cons: no ability to post pictures.
Forum thread:
Pros: Can post pictures, quickly update info, everything in one place in linear fashion.
Cons: lots of threads to sift through, lack of organization.
One way I think we can help organize the forum thread is on our weigh in date (which is today) we can all list our stats, photos, list of supplements, then on later posts we can discuss nutrition, motivation and updates along the way. Which can work too.
Thoughts?
On a side note, Yikes.. Its today! Break out those Tanita scales, the tape measures and those calipers, its on! Lets see this through guys, I wanna see some ripped pictures come November!
