    my terrible tris finally grew when i started doing 8 sets of DB tri-extensions 3 times a week

    dips/cgbp etc never seemed to do anything for me

    Just like any other muscle, you have to train heavy. Heavier than you think you can do in the first place. Use spotters if you need to etc.

    Close grip bench, double-handed overhead DB tricep extensions, BB skullcrushers, cable pushdowns. All are good. Pick some, and milk them hard with heavy ass weight.

    That's the problem with a lot of people's lagging body parts. They don't train them with the same intensity as they do with other muscle groups.

    To put it into perspective, i rep out the 140lb DBs for reps for overhead DB extensions and i'm not exactly the strongest guy around. Work hard, eat a lot, year in year out, and you'll grow all over.

    No supersets imo, no nothing. Keep it simple. Nothin fancy. Lots of rest in between sets, and lift your heaviest for reps.

    the long head is the biggest of the three tricep heads, therefor you want to focus on hitting it if you want big triceps. all overhead extensions emphasise the long head.

    I used to have better tri's when i was 105kgs, but the advice still stands. This is at 93kgs.

    Watch out for elbow pain down the line though. Tendonitis or whatever. **** sucks man

    Eh, if you really take care of yourself you can probably avoid it. But to be honest that's what day after day after day after day (for years) of constant heavy lifting does to your joints though.

    If you take it down a notch every once in a while it sort of prevents it a bit more, but if your like me, there's no such thing as a "light" day lol So yeah this is what we sometimes get.

    Just like constant heavy leg workouts take a toll on your knees after a while.

    So if your smart about it you'll be cool..

    Bar Dips + CGBP are no 1, any form of extensions e.g. skulls are secondary imo

    I added bar dips to my tri routine 6 weeks and ive put on 1/2 an inch on my arms. Since then they've become my no1 mass builder and a staple in my tricep routine.

    Also DECLINE skulls and CGBP >>>>> Flat skulls and CGBP

    The decline position has been proven to recruit more tricep activation.
