    Thumbs up Rope Jumping is fuking awesome...

    BRB Improvements in agility, hand/eye/foot coordination, explosiveness, stability, vertical jumping ability, hand and foot speed, fluidity of movement and timing.

    BRB Strong cardio that burns PLENTY of calories.

    BRB EXCELLENT for the rotator cuffs (injury prone area). It strengthen them because of the rotation movement.

    I've been doing 25 minutes a day five times a week.
    When you're done, feels good man DOT JAY PEG.

    Any misc rope jumpers?

    How do I start ? I honestly have never jumped a rope other than when I was like 5 years old. If I try now, I dont want to look like a fool jumping.

    I can still jump rope really well since I did it all the time as a kid in gym class and for fun...but man it fckin kicks ur ass...I can only go 2 minutes max at a time before my calves give out and out of breath.

    I jump rope all the time..

    Practice makes perfect.

    When I wasn't very good at it, I would do about 10 minutes of rope work for conditioning, and then 5 minutes where I'd practice different tricks like the double-under, crossover, etc. Now I'm nasty at it.

    Yeah I jump rope a lot, I can do quite a few tricks and stuff. My shoulders and traps ache like a bitch after I do 30 minutes of freestyle with some side swing cross doubles

    edit: and yeah I used to do it when I was like 10 in primary school, I could do doubles and stuff even back then

    buy a decent rope (about 10 $) and do it everyday at home.

    After only a week, I can already feel that i'm getting stronger calves... You will be sore after the first day but keep jumping anyway.

    I should start jump roping again. I did it a lot in high school to stay in shape. I used to be able to do a bunch of the different tricks and stuff, too. Now I don't know if I'll be able to just go 10 minutes, haha.

    I'm not this good, but this is the kinda crazy **** that can be done with a rope. I can do the handstand things (belch frog or something it's called) though. It's not something you do in public though, just a party trick lol :P . He's doing triple side swing crosses and stuff in that routine

    I'm terrible at it, but it is amazing for calf strength and coordination. If you're doing any sort of standup combat sport it is an absolute must.
