I'm currently reading an Agatha Raisin mystery by MC Beaton, entitled "The Deadly Dance", and listening to a Hamish Macbeth audiobook mystery.
Next up, is "Suspense and Sensibility" by Carrie Bebris, which is a continuation of Jane Austen's Mr and Mrs Darcy characters from Pride and Prejudice, solving a mystery. Can't wait for that!

How was this ^^^ ?
I've only read one or two Koonz novels. Survivor I think one was called. It was OK. His books move a lot faster than Kings.
I was a compulsive reader when I was a kid. My parents always had tons of books around and all my sisters and I read a lot too.
I would just pick up someone else's book and start reading from where their bookmark was until I felt like doing something else. Weird.
I just don't have the time to read these days.....

Awww...bless your heart! Thank you!
Yes, I really am an author.
Working on the other books, although I've backed off on those to work on my painting. Do you like horses? (www.kathrynloch.com)
It's a book that you will not find stocked...I went with small press (not vanity) and they make the book when you order it.˙ǝsɹoɥ ʎɯ uo ʞɔɐq ǝɯ ʇnd puɐ dn ǝɯ ʞɔıd ǝsɐǝןd 'sıɥʇ pɐǝɹ uɐɔ noʎ ɟı

Currently reading The Bible Code by Michael Drosnin this is my second time reading it. I am not an overly religious person but anything that has to do with the mystery of the bible fascinates me. I am also reading Extreme Measures by Vince Flynn. I usually have several books started at one time.
On the shelf waiting to be read I have Pursuit of Honor by Vince Flynn, The Bruce Trilogy by Nigel Tranter (story of Robert the Bruce) and Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My reading preference tends to be all over the place it really depends on what mood I am in.

I will let you know about Robert the Bruce, I would have loved to have been a part of that whole era, I know it was very very violent period for Scotland, but to have the strength and will power to survive during those times, and the honor and integrity of Robert the Bruce!!!
As far as Sherrilyn I believe she is a fantastic author, the way she weaves ancient history and fantasy together is fascinating. She is a pretty fast read, and you must start at the beginning of her Dark Hunter books, you can't help but get sucked in, it's like you become a part of their world and their families.

I just finished reading (two minutes ago) House of Illusions by Ruby Jean Jensen and will be starting Brain Child by John Saul after lunch. I buy most of my paperbacks at used book stores. I love the smell of old books.

I've never read War and Peace but I have read the other three on your list and they were all excellent.
The Count of Monte Cristo, and Alexandre Dumas, is a favorite of mine. When I was very young, well before I had any interest in reading books, my Grandfather used to tell me the story in his broken English. I named my business after the book as well as my user name.
Unfortunately, now that I've recommitted myself to working out, I don't have as much time to read as I used to.

Entebbe Rescue is great. Yonni's Last Battle is wonderful and heart-wrenching book about Jonathan Netanyahu written by his brother about the same rescue operation.
Right now I'm just finishing up Generation Kill and have started reading a rather engrossing book about the Yom Kippur War called - oddly enough - The Yom Kippur War."Blessed be the Lord my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle." - Psalm 144:1
Also, taxation is theft.

I just finished "Dark Warrior Untamed" by Alexis Morgan. LOVE her work.
I am rereading a few books trying to pass the time until the next releases come out
Broken by Karen Slaughter
Changes by Jim Butcher (Dresden Files)
Bone Thief by Jefferson Bass (Body Farm novel)
Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs (Mercy Thompson novel)
Infinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon (Chronicles of Nick) ....Acheron broke my heart. Stayed up the entire night once to finish it. Got sucked in and couldn't put it down.
Since I have read them before I can have more going at once. I do try to keep it to just 2 or 3 when they are new
