    Throwing up after almost every leg workout

    Does that just mean I am using proper intensity or is there something bad about it?

    On my back days I usually feel like throwing up (during the workout) and on leg days I feel like throwing up (during the workout) but the past 3 or 4 I've been actually throwing up when I get home.

    I feel great afterwords but it really ruins those workout days for me because I feel so ****ty during but I just push through.

    My diet is all clean food 3000 + cals.

    I take a protein shake before and after I take another one with a banana.

    Also dehydrated? I'll try drinking way more water but I already drink a bit cause I'm taking creatine.

    Edit: I do the same preworkout + postworkout routine for all my days but I only feel like throwing up/throw up on leg or back days.

    And this just started with my most recent plan that I've been on for 4 weeks which is geared more towards hypertrophy so higher reps.

    If I were you, I'd try not eating for 1-2 hours before you do legs. Now you're probably thinking "but I need the fuel for my workout and recovery." But if you throw up your food and protein shake, its not going to do anything for you anyway.

    Try not to take a protein shake right before workout. Instead, just eat a nice sized meal an hour to an hour and 30 minutes before. That way you won't have anything in your stomach, but should still have plenty of energy from the meal you ate. Also, drink lots of water.

    It's not supposed to. The wiki is worded improperly.

    Think of it this way.

    Legs are a huge muscle group. They're engorged with blood when you squat. Less perfusion to your brain. Less oxygen to your brain. Vagal nerve carries this signal to your guts. Guts cause emesis. Your body would rather you throw up before skipping straight into making you pass out. It's a protective mechanism.

    It might not even be a vagal reaction...you might just shunt blood away from your stomach/intestines when you're squatting or deadlifting [legs straightening out on these exercises would exacerbate the episode], and the enteric ischemia could just make you nauseous.

    If it's vasovagal (I've been diagnosed with this when I was younger) sit down and put your head between your knees and take deep breaths. Try to get the blood flowing to your head between some sets and rest between sets while sitting. This seems to help me

    He also said that there's a delay and that he throws up when going home.

    Long story short, the Area Postrema is dumping factors into his blood stream that cause him to get sick.
