The fact that people have the power to tell you what you can and can't do. They can tell you when you've had enough, they can tell you to leave. Even if you're not drunk. Maybe because you don't tip enough or not wearing the right clothes.

I couldn't get into a bar last night (hanging out with my brother) because I was wearing an adidas track suit. Doorman told me no welfares allowed.

My first day in Australia as a backpacker, on the back of a nine month session in South East Asia where rules do not often apply, I got thrown out of the first bar on my way to the toilet by a ******* doorman who said i was drunk. I'd had one beer, and was walking normally to the toilet. I went to a club the other night, and as I was walking up a guy came past and said they wouldn't allow me in because I had on Chucks, and they had just turned him away for wearing sneakers.
