    how often should you deadlift

i always wondered, i do it once every other week on back days but many people have told me to aim every week on back day. I was curious, how often do you deadlift? and what should i aim for?

I do it every week. What you do really depends on your age, experience level and goals.

It really depends on how hard you go and how fast you can recover. Personally, I have been deadlifting 3x week for a couple weeks now, but obviously I am not pushing it to the max.

I do feel like a lot of people could easily recover from two deadlifting session a week on a regular basis. One with more intensity like working up to a 1-3RM and the other with a little more volume.

Personally I deadlift once a week (heavy, low reps, low volume). That works for me but everyone's different.

I do traditional deadlift once a week (back day, low reps for strength), and stiff legged deadlift on leg day once a week(higher reps for size). My back and leg day are separated by 3 days though.

My body could only handle me deadlifting once per week.
    "Shut up and lift!"
    "Eat big to get big."
    "Deadlift and grow."
    'Train, Eat, Sleep."
    "Knowledge is power."
"What does not kill you, will make you stronger."

    Ergo sum fortissimus.

I usually have 1x per week sessions; but only because I incorporate power cleans/front squats in my routine as well; which make it hard to Deadlift more frequently.

If I didn't front squat or power clean, I'd Deadlift 2x per week for sure.
