    Treadmill frame cracked, damaging belt

Treadmill - Horizon t960 started to cut through belt after ~1 year, just after warranty expired, opened it up and saw part of frame broken off and incline mechanism holders damaging belt during running as a result. What would be the cheapest and easiest way to fix it? Thinking of partially removing the holders or just removing incline mechanism all together.
Don't really care about incline or anything, just want to keep using treadmill for HIIT during cutting.
pics included(scratch marks from trying to push it back)

Don't know if partially removing the holders would result in further damage but you could try that. Cut into them a bit to give the belt more clearance, maybe a slight curve piece out of each one. What is more troublesome is that cracked bracket. That needs to be braced somehow so it doesn't continue to get worse and out of wack.
Maybe you can run a bolt through the horizontal piece in the picture with eyelets on each side. Then run bolts through those eyelets and the vertical piece and the nut on the far right side. Then you can tighten the nuts on either side to get it back to where it should be.

    You have 2 choices here:

    1) disassemble it, and have the cracked frame straightened and re-welded. Re-assemble.

    2) junk it and buy a bettter/stronger treadmill.

Personally, I'd go with #2; if it broke the first time, it will likely break again. It's not up to the load you're placing on it.
