Teeth whitening? What's the best way (serious thread)

The best method is probably having dental trays made and using a high-quality gel; such as Nupro Gold. It usually takes them about a week to have the trays molded.

You could spend the money to get it done in-office or try out the whitening strips since time is an issue.

I don't see how people can use those strips..

They dont hit the gaps well and most of them, at leaast when I tried them years ago, were not long enough..

My mom is a marketing VP at one of the largest dental companies in the country. Give me a few days and I can most likely grab you a pro kit.

I would love to get mine done at the dentist but it costs so much. I think the gel trays were between $200 and $250 and the laser whitening was even more

i actually got a procedure done a while ago where they use uv light on your teeth or something to that effect. it didnt take that long and the effects were dramatic and didnt go away.

My teeth aren't yellow enough where I could get a job spitting on popcorn at the movies, but I could use whiter

Don't know how much the in-office visits are but the last time I had trays made it was about $200 for the kit (trays, 6 gel syringes, and a case for the trays)

I used white strips a while ago and the effects lasted for a few years. Takes a little bit of time, but you can just put em on while surfing the forums


And yeah, they're only meant to cover the teeth that actually show when you smile. If you have sensitive gums, you could do it every other day (just takes twice as long, but it happens).

I find that they did reach between my teeth just as well. It was a gel after all. And this is the cheapest alternative ($20 or less for a good deal).

I did break my two top front teeth, so I can't use these anymore because they're not actual teeth anymore But I would if I could again!

plus white 5 minute speed whitening gel is good. use it twice a day for 2 weeks and you'll be happy. it costs 7 or 8 dollars which is great! also, you don't need to pay for expensive dental trays. use a sports mouthguard instead! someone actually just posted a video there, one that i'd watched ages ago. the girl in it is right. that's where i learned this stuff from

haha no blue light. im pretty sure it was UV and i think an orthodontist or a dentist has to do it. i might be wrong though.

For that cheap you probably get whay you pay for. I doubt these Crest Whitestrips or gels for $7 actually work when people above are recommending the real thing which seems to be $200-$500. May be wrong though
