I would go with what your Dr. says. I was taking just the recommended daily dose on the bottle.
People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily.

It would depend on your diet as well. If you eat alot of fish you won't need to take as much.

I take just over 2000 on my doctors orders. There is pretty good evidence that it does help cardiovascular health. I'm feeling lazy, but if you get on PubMed and do a search the info will pop up.

The advice I can give on fish oil is this------don't just buy a generic brand of fish oil. Generic brands have a lot of preservatives and additives. I use the NOW brand fish oil-----it is all natural----when you burp a fishy taste-- you have good fish oil!!

I believe, for cardiovascular health, the recommended dose is 1g three times daily

I take 2,000 iu per day of Krill Oil - buy the NSI brand, "KriaZanthin Antartic Krill Oil". From what I've read, Krill oil is the best form of omega3 fish oil you can take.
