Title. I guess its easy for me to look at a picture and tell if it has that classic look, but what the heck is it specifically? Pics WITH an explanation would be nice..

Well sir, going by the majority of the numbskulls around here, "Classic Physiques" are anything that's shown in a grainy, desaturated, dated photo.
Here, let me provide an example of what the experienced bodybuilding connoisseur's consider classic:
Here we have a normal picture of Ronnie Coleman from the 2003 Olympia.
Not what one would consider a "classic physique" amiright?
And here we have... a beautiful classic physique, seemingly carved from the Greek Gods themselves.
It's all about the ****ty colour and graininess guys. Oh oh, this would also count as showing Ronnie Coleman having "a really grainy look".

Your point well taken, but it is more than obvious that, other than Ray shown, that a "classic physique" is little more than striking a pose where the body is presented with the hips and abs angled, arms generally held out but flexed differently, legs held assymetrically, and eyes looking but not focused on anything.

The classic physique always should have a small waist, hips, broad shoulders and big calves. If these features are exaggerated then the more the classic the physique should be.

Classic Bodybuilding is not a LOOK ... it's a competitive class that was created to curb drug use without actually testing for anything. It's a height, weight formula that limits how big one can actually get. It's IFBB recognized and it's my main focus when I compete.
Weight/Height Categories
The categories that are open for competition at these Championships are:
Men
Classic BB: Up to & including 170 cm + 2kg
Classic BB: Up to & including 175 cm + 4kg
Classic BB: Up to & including 180 cm + 6kg
Classic BB: Over 180 cm + 8 kg(*see note below)

yep, that's pretty much what came to mind for me as well. Plus there are definitely certain poses and variations on poses that give more of that classic look, as someone said earlier (hips angled, legs at certain angles, often with slightly bent knees, etc). Lee Labrada's physique and posing were very reminiscent of the "classic" look from the golden era, although with more modern conditioning. You look at him and then watch most of the guys he competed against and it's quite a contrast. And in interviews you can tell that he did that intentionally.
