Workout: Bench/Dead
Duration: 50 minutes
Weight: 194.4
BB Flat Bench / Deadlift
N/A / 135 x 6
135 x 6 / 225 x 5
175 x 3 / 315 x 3
205 x 1 / 365 x 1
235 x 2 / 425 x 2
235 x 2 / 425 x 2
200 x 4 / 355 x 4
200 x 4 / 355 x 4
200 x 4 / 355 x 4
200 x 4 / 355 x 4
165 x 8 / 225 x 8
165 x 8 / 225 x 8
Notes:
-Increased work weights by 5# for bench and 10# for deads.
-Forgot my straps so I was forced to mix grip without chalk. No issues really since mixed grip is the same as straps for me.
Overall Notes:
Today was great. I felt good and strong throughout, especially on bench.
I ended up hopping on the treadmill and going for 26 or 27 minutes. I felt good today. I think I'm going to get back to doing some cardio after my lifting each day. I actually want to get into running/jogging in the evening, but it is too cold for me to have the motivation for that sh*t. But really I just want a little more activity in my daily routine, so.... this is what I'll do.

Usually how I am too.
Running is teh suck.
I've actually really enjoyed this scheme for teh bench and deads. It is a completely bastardized ort scheme that I randomly made up. I also reversed the order of the 2x2 and 4x4 sets (put the heavier sets first) and have just wung it with whatever weights I feel like going for. But the weights are manageable and I think the volume will help the muscles.-

Uhh, IIRC it was like 1-2 minutes between the individual lifts and it would add up to be like 3-4 minutes of rest between each dead lift or each bench set. As the sets get heavier, I take more rest, whereas the ramp up sets are with a faster pace.

Thursday, February 7th
Workout: Chest/Back
Duration: 45-50 minutes
weight: 191.0
DB Incline Bench / Wide Grip Pull ups
50 x 10 / Scap retractions
60 x 8 / 8x Neutral Grip
70 x 6 / 8x Chin ups
80 x 8 / BW x 15
80 x 8 / BW x 15
80 x 7 / BW x 13
Notes:
-Solid sets here.
Flat Smith-Guillotine Press (PWO) / T-Bar Row (PWO)
130 x 7 / 155 x 10
130 x 7 / 155 x 9
130 x 7 / 155 x 9
Notes:
-I appreciate and hate the good samaritans in the gym. I work out alone every damn day. I encounter much of the same people every day. Yet while doing my middle set of guillotine press (which I tailor my form, rom, and speed to have it be difficult in my desired rep range) a gym goer runs over on my last rep and lets me know that he has it and I can keep pushing.
-Felt good on rows, went for more reps.
Conventional Chest Dips / Hammer Grip Chins
BW x 15 / BW x 11
BW x 15 / BW x 10
BW x 13 / BW x 10
Notes:
-Tough but good sets.
Pec Deck / HS Low Row
65 x 15 123 x 8
65 x 13 123 x 8
65 x 12 123 x 8
Notes:
-I cut off my pec deck sets when I could no longer have the pads touch in the middle and pause for a second.
-I increased weight on the low rows by 15lbs. I had more than 8 reps in me for teh sets, but that is my new bench mark and will work to incr
Overall Notes:
Pretty good session, IMO. Felt pretty strong. I was a little tired, but no biggy. Powered through everything, did a little more than 20 minutes on the treadmill. Now time to chill and do as little as possible at work.
Hidemyass is being sh*tty like it almost always is. I am intending this to be a good copy of Puddle of Mudd - Bring me down. No clue if it is.

Before you get lazy, you have alcohol to stock up on. Multis & protein? Pffftt..... what kind of **** ass sh*t is that?
I wish I had a pull up bar in my place so I could work on increasing my reps. Hard for me to get 15 reps for all three and I can't make it much more than that with a single set.
lol I know. I was humored this past saturday while i was in there. Two bros were working out. They eventually got to wehre they were doing "245" (2 plates & 2 10s per side, so 245 if on a real bar, but they were on the smith). During those sets, their upper arms never even reached parallel and there was bro-spotting. I must say, I was rather impressed.-

There was this PT at my gym who'd do quarter squats with 3 plates using the Smith machine. What's worse is that he'd have two spotters, one to hold his chest and the other to hold the bar. Yeah, don't ask me; I cringed every time I saw the trio at work. Also, he'd keep a bench in there to judge depth. At first I thought he was planning on doing Smith box squats, but I was wrong. So anyway, he had that bench in there so he could make sure he hit depth during every rep, but he never got close to even touching it. So, what the f*ck was the point of the bench? My mind was nuked.

Weight: 190.2
High Bar Squat
135 x 6
185 x 5
225 x 3
265 x 1
300 x 2
300 x 2
270 x 4
270 x 4

185 x 5
Notes:

Overall Notes:
Miserable day. Woke up an hour late, although after 9.5hours I felt rested, but I didn't have anythign in the gym. Barely felt my beta alanine tingles. Was sluggish and felt weak. Not a single set felt good.
In celebration of my first non-penor wielding poster in this thread I whored out to the camera. Took some videos of the squats and also some post workout pics. None of them are that good. Will get them up soon.

First round of whoring. I had a front shirtless photo but I refuse to post it. lol it just looks like a blob of crap. I'm still carrying more body fat than I'd prefer. I am always conflicted on whether to bulk or cut.
The dark red patch is mostly scab, actually. I've been working on not being so rough in digging the bar in when I set up. I used to dig it in low and then slide it up higher in my traps. It gave a very solid feeling, but tore my traps up.
Oh yeah, look at that tuchus in those jeans. Those aren't skinny jeans either. I wear relaxed boot cut.

WTF PHOTOBUCKET!?!??!?
I edited teh photos before uploading. They were all right side up. I upload them and they show up rotated back. I use photobucket's editing software to rotate and save them. Then embedded them here. They are rotated again.
I go back into photobucket and bring the images that look right side up and rotate them to reflect the rotation they need to be right side up in here. They still appear the same.-
