    Nap after eating

OK I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty clueless when it comes to topics like this one here. Usually I will make an hour nap after lunch, and I was wondering If this nap will have an effect on gaining weight or slowing down my metabolism. I know you should not eat big before you sleep at night, but will a hour nap during the day do any harm? I've done research and most sites claim it has no effect on gaining fat or slowing down your metabolism. Is this true? I appreciate the advice.

I work and train 5 days a week. If i have time for a nap after lunch, you better believe i'll take full advantage. Also, most of the time, my workouts turn out much more intense and focused after that amazing post lunch power nap.

Well, I stopped sleeping to stave off any fat gain. I can barely type now and I will probably die in a day or two, but by God, I shan't do so FAT!

I would be more worried about why you are tired after lunch that the effects of napping on weight gain. If you are needing a nap after lunch then there is some kind of fatigure issue going on. If you get a solid 7-8 hours of sleep than you do not need to be napping. I always try to look deeper into issues because most of the time peoples posts on here are about something deeper than they appear.

Taking naps will affect ur natural sleeping pattern which is never good u might find it hard to sleep that night and thn u will be tired and messed up next day, also if ur only taking short naps u won't be able to switch off properly and won't get into them final stages of ur rem cycle, whether this will affect metabolism etc I dno lol

On a side note I have read an article in a really old muscle and fitness or maybe mens health saying it's good to take a small nap after workouts bt I cnt really remember specifics it was a long time ago

Im not that worried. Mostley it's because of my different scheduel. Having the summer off and not being in school has changed my sleeping patterns.
