Met the recuiter last weds and he told me that I had to add more jobs to my list or I was going to time out of DEP. I originally listed all airborne jobs except for fire protection. He said that Big Blue was in need for mech and electrical and that listing a couple of those would help get me in quicker. I pretty much listed all the civil engineering jobs and electrical power pro. I never know if my recruiter is telling the truth or not, the guy just seems shady as fuk.

You should be able to get most CE jobs NP since they are always needing CE brah. Pretty much any critically manned job that you list you will get period.

yup. PTLs don't understand the test is a combination of endurance, strength, and SPEED. you don't max out your pushups and situps by doing endless reps and sets. you have to increase the speed in which you perform each rep. gotta add weight to increase power.

one year all i did was sprints and ran one of my best times ever. the run was easy as hell that time, too.

man i tell people this all the dang time, do the 1.5 but hit some sprints and or some jump rope and you're good! also know how to pace yourself on the track know when to speed up and when you can throttle back a little. i've been the rabbit for our shop and so far i'm 4/4 passing with the guys...knocking off at least a min and a half off their time.

Im in the gym 6 days a week, tearin the weights up. But I cant motivate myself to run.....just.....cant......do....it

I hear ya h8 running only reason I do it, because the USAF says I have to twice a year now I suppose. Basically I just blast my normal gym workout music and get on the track and do it 3 days a week. As the days pass it gets alot easier and doesn't hurt as much kinda like the gym brah. Lastly if I find myself slowing down I picture that TI from Full Metal Jacket calling me a sissy.

I found what works best for me is wait for a semi decent looking chick and just run after her using the @$$ for motivation.

i really only want to run once a year but if i want that 90, that means i have to keep my cardio up year round..... so what do i do?? run once and get a passing... or run year round and get a 90 to test once a year? LMAO ! i'm so f*cking lazy when it comes to running!

hahahaha, thats hilarious because I went through the same discussion in my head...Its almost worth only running twice a year and struggling, than have to run all the time just to get a 90

Ever try sprinting, like 60-300m sprints around 8-12 reps? Did that for a period of 4 months and came out and wrecked my PT test, didnt do any distance stuff during that time either.

Wish PTL's would incorperate sprinting workouts more.
