But over time, the daily grind gets in the way and you miss the things that really matter, even though they are right in front of you, staring you in the face. umm I get what you're saying but they sort of are paid professionals. Their job is soldier. Or various other jobs within the military more specifically (pilot, mechanic, electrician, medic, etc.)

They receive salary and benefits and receive training to perform their job. they certainly are professional soldiers. Just not to the extent of a private security company like blackwater. Because those guys have military experience plus training.
