What's been going on in here Ken!? I took a four month or so break from bb cause, well, I'm not really drawn to it anymore. I find myself spending more of my time at AM. How's the arm and the lifts been? Any updates on anything?
Holy crap! Where you been dude? What's AM? Only update is the next stage of pain is now in full force...the Elbow.
24/7 pain with no end in site and it's just getting worse. What up with you? A break from lifting or just this place?

I hate to hear about the pain, but if the lifting doesn't make it worse, then go for it!
At least lifting with pain beats not lifting with pain!
That's my thought, it hurts either way so I might as well lift.

elbow now too? that sucks. glad to see you're still lifting though. I took about a month off lifting due to moving, new job, back to school, and burned out but mainly just a break from this forum. AM is another forum I like better.

Yep and the pain is worse than the nerve pain and 24/7 as well...woohooo!! I don't think I've
been to AM but I understand completely, this place can be draining and just a nut house most times.
Leg Extensions
Triceps Push-downs
DB Curls
Upright Rows
3-5 set of each one, weight was all kept light.
This friggin elbow pain is insane, many times throughout the day I can't even straighten my arm out;
I went to pick up a pillow... A PILLOW!! and cringed at the pain that went through my arm.
Have the new drugs had any effect, or do they need longer to kick in?
If I were you, I'd be searching desperately for some strategy to fix the problem. No lifting & just massage and stretching, different types of lifting, electroshock therapy, witches, whatever.
I feel for ya, bud. I really do. Can't imagine having to deal with that.
By reading this post you have agreed to my negative reputation terms of service.

crap dude, didn't think it would actually get worse, that sucks. Sounds miserable to have to deal with that constantly. Hopefully those new drugs will help.

They seem to be working....a bit, on the nerve pain but they're doing chit for the elbow.
lol, it sucks.

That was my thought....How can this get worse!?!? Guess I found the answer!

Try dropping the feathers by half, and increase your reps. Focus on technique, and don't worry about the weight. The weight will come. Slowly add feathers and when you start to feel you are hitting your peak take a deload- you'll come back stronger then before. Rinse and repeat while slowly increasing your FL (feather loading). Do this consitantly for a few years and you'll be liftin 15TOG duvets with the big boys.

It's getting pretty depressing walking in the Den and dreading the pain that's about to come.
Other than leg extensions and GHR's, everything else is brutal.
Damn.....that elbow pain sounds terrible, and that's all new?
No squats for a while though! How much does squatting hurt your elbow?
At least you may be able to get a good lower body workout in
I'm glad you guys found the pillow advice funny, could have backfired on me big time lol.
If squats are being affected by your elbow pain, how about buying some of the contraptions that change the positions of your arms? Like...
These put pretty much all the weight on your shoulders and bring your elbows into a more comfortable position. If theres one thing that sucks about most home gyms its that when you're injured its hard to avoid the injured area with freeweights. With my bad shoulder I found I can't even get a bar into position to do tricep basic extensions, and obviously all all pressing compounds are out of the question. It sucks to be injured.

Yeah, just the last month and it turning into 24/7 pain very quickly.
Squats are as bad as anything else, leg extensions & GHR's are the only pain free lifts.

LOL, I was barely a member 6 months ago, I've forgotten what its like to not be on this forum everyday, its become an addiction. Shame you got rid, I reckon one of these could have helped (I'm assuming sice you got rid, you wouldn't want another).

This looks really good! I used to love front squatting but I can't hold my arms in a clean position to support the bar since my shoulder recons! I see that they make it in New Zealand so I might get one of these!
I use the Squat safety bar but I knew that Ken got rid of his
