My chest looks fine from the front and as time goes on looks better, but from the side it still looks skinny. Is it just genetic, or what should I do?

you could at least give him some good advice dude....you look like a popular member so im not sure why you would say something like that... Op , i had the same issue as you. how do you train your chest? just do a few exercises? i added some good mass onto my chest from heavy fly's lieing down , incline Barbell Presses really showed me good results. and u cant forget the main compound lift...the bench. and to finish ur workout off add a drop set of cable flys. as soon as i switched my chest routine around and threw these in i noticed good progress within 3 - 4 months. and by progress im saying my chest now sticked out when i looked in the mirror, more thicker and bulky looking, it doesn't just sag and look flat

That is sound advice. I could have extrapolated more, yes, but I believe he knows what I am getting at. This is not his first time in the forum or even the first time I have "spoken" with him, though I forget the previous reason or context.
Sometimes people worry about specific "lagging" bodyparts or "unevenness" when they havn't yet progressed to a point where any one specific thing is worth focussing on. I believe this to be the case with the OP. I believe he needs to consistently follow a solid routine while continually adding weight to the bar and to the scale. Nothing specific or special yet required.
For now improving on the bench press would be a great start. OP is a 152 pound novice with an old bench press max of 180 who has had his bodyweight go up and down recently.

ye man , i meant no hate i was just saying:P u look like a member with alot of knowledge, i cant argue with you on what you just said. you need to stick to your routine op and not add in other exercises. i used to do it alot and i probably over trained. i felt like i wasn't doing enough because i only did like 4 lifts and a few sets. hows your diet looking. pretty solid and stable? maybe that might be a explanation to your issue. peace
