    Holy **** oatmeal is good

I just went grocery shopping and one of the things i got was oatmeal because i heard it was so good for you. I tasted it before, attempted to eat it, and got nauseous so i didn't try it. So i said, **** it, one last try, but this time i had some chocolate support haha.

Had quaker oats+ scoop of chocolate whey protein, was amazing. It was so good i felt i had to make a post about it . Was like drinking hot chocolate.

    It's also great in shakes

I used to cook up a cup of oatmeal and add some whey in the morning for my pre-workout meal, but lately in order to save some time I've been grinding up the oatmeal in a coffee grinder and tossing that in with the whey and making a shake out of it. This is currently my favorite meal of the day--it's way more delicious than I had anticipated. But even with grinding the oats up it's still pretty thick and grainy, so what I do is toss it into a big water bottle and shake it like crazy and then chug it.

congrats...you've discovered proatmeal! do a search here for it...it's one of the most popular meals. you'll find 309476 recipes

i had it 3 times yesterday.
    -oats + choc protein + cocoa + cinnamon + sugar-free choc syrup
-oats + vanilla protein + vanilla extract
-oats + peanut butter protein + sugar-free caramel syrup

I like steel cut oats best, but it's a pain because you either have to soak them in water overnight or they take a long time to cook. Usually if I soak them overnight I'll put them in a protein shake in the morning.

Finally a thread about proatmeal that isn't "I made it but it tasted like shiitt".

If that is the case, you're doing it wrong.

this... proatmeal is one of my favorite breakfasts... (sorry but it still doesn't beat bacon, eggs, and biscuits and gravy... )

I find that oatmeal still tastes good if you just eat it with water uncooked.

    mmmm

    fail.

flavored instant oatmeal = heavily processed, mostly pre-cooked, full of extra sugar, additives and other “natural and artificial flavors.”

eat real oatmeal. steel cut or old fashioned oats. not the instant crap.
