Is it more important to take them every day, or just on lifting days?
Thanks so much!!
Depends what you take. If you're only taking creatine, then take it on all days, regardless. But there's no reason to take a pre-workout stim on a day you're not training.

I'm not a fan of flax oil, personally. Goes rancid too quickly and it's very unstable...just my .02 though.
But yeah, those are fine to take on your days off. Are you cutting? Because if not, BCAA on a day of is unnecessary.

What do you mean by this?

Unstable may have not been the right word. I suppose what I mean is that there are a lot of precautionary statements made about flax oil, and usually when those precautions are multiple I tend to stay away from the product/food to be more on the safe side.
Fish oil is a better source of omega 3's anyway.

Do you only take BCAA's when cutting? I suppose I'm doing more of a body recomp...(slowly build and then cut) I'm not "stable" enough to put "weight" on....ya know....I'm just not mentally there yet.

I don't supplement a lot myself, but of the few supplements that i do take I take on a daily basis. They are:
Vit D 10,000 IU
Fish Oil
Rhodiola - 1/16th of a teaspoon twice a day
I take them even on days when i am not working out as these are important supplements for daily living that most people do not get enough of in their food intake.
I also agree that eitehr fish oil or hemp oil is much better then flax. If you are vegetarian hemp is probably your best bet as it has the perfect ratio of omega 3-6-9.

Thanks!! What is Rhodiola? I'll look into the hemp for sure, thank you!

I don't see need for them when I'm on maintenance/building mode, because I get PLENTY of BCAA in my protein powder and lean meats.
If you're insistent on supplementing with BCAA, just buy the super cheap kind. No need for anything fancy like Xtend unless you really have the $$ for it.

Oh I see, I don't eat meat...so it's probably a good idea for me then right? Yea I just bought a new big bottle, it wasn't expensive. I was also thinking about taking OEP have you ever taken that? (instead of jack3d of course lol)

Hmm, well I think if you eat whey powder during the day you're getting plenty of BCAA's, but that's just me. TBH I think they're really useful on a cut, but during maintenance/bulking it just isn't necessary.
I don't take any pre-workout stims, so I'm probably the wrong person to ask. I think that good sleep and a good diet are the best supplements you can have Plus, too much stims and I get wired out. I already drink a lot of coffee, so combined that would make me crazy. Unless I cut down on coffee, which I'm not willing to do just yet, haha.
And despite popular opinions and preferences, I really don't like stuffing a bunch of artificial stuff and chemicals into my body. I think it's a waste of money for what can be accomplished through a common-sense diet approach and proper sleep habits.

Rhodiola is supposed to help with improved athletic performance and is also supposed to help with circulation (i have poor circulation).
I forgot to mention Chia Seeds!! Both Chia Seeds and Hemp are EXCELLENT sources of omega 3 and are both vegan. I know eating chia seeds sounds funny since it is like eating your chia pet but we love them.
I couldn't really suggest pre-workout stims either because i stopped taking them a while ago. Too much i nthe way of stimulants can hinder your adrenal gland and cause adrenal fatigue (not good). But some supplements that seem to work to give you energy without stimulats are L-tyrosine and L-Citruline.

I think that you should just take them on lifting days. You really don't need all that extra stuff in your body on your off days...thats why they are called off days...but thats just my opinion.

Ok awesome. I have heard of chia seeds before. Thanks! Do you take L-tyrosine and L-Citruline? How much? I looked up the L-Citruline and it said you get it from watermelon..and it turns into L-arginine in the body. So, does that mean if I took that I shouldn't take L-arginine?
