Hey everyone,
I used to have a pretty simple routine for supplements: whey protein after workouts and for the occasional meal and casein protein right before bed. However, I've recently started to take ZMA and I'm having a little trouble taking both Casein and ZMA.
We all know that Casein protein is crucial. It gives us nutrients while we sleep. However, ZMA states that it should be taken right before bed ON AN EMPTY STOMACH! So this is where I have a little bit of trouble taking both. If I take a Casein shake and wait an hour to take my ZMA, I'm not taking it on an empty stomach. On the other hand, if I have my Casein around 8-9 PM and don't go to bed for a while, I feel like I'm not getting the full benefit of Casein protein.
Anyone out there that has been able to find a good balance between Casein shakes and night time supplements. Please help me out. Thanks.
