I'm iblast002, just subb'ed to you. GL with your casting. I have some experience casting with the Nation Voice Destiny Showmatches and the Justin.tv Invitationals with Ascend and Thundertoss back in the day. Made a tiny sum $, but couldn't take the casting 6-10 hour long events though... would rather be playing 10x more.

I was planning on doing some tutorial vids for zerg. When those get up and you like what you hear, we can get some dual casting

Like Suit said so bluntly, lol, try varying your tones a bit. I can tell you're excited about casting, but this will help you show a bit more enthusiasm and help with *******s calling you monotone (i♥u-suit-no-negz-plz).

Also, try your best to limit your "um"s and other verbal distractors. They're a bit noticeable. I'm sure you'll improve this with time if you are aware of it. It will also improve as you get more experience with keeping your flow and not getting choked up on remembering certain details.

Do a little better watching the minimap too, there are quite a few things that I saw happen on the minimap that you didn't take notice of.

I would also suggest learning certain timings and other bits of game knowledge if you want to assume the role of a commentator rather than a caster.

Bryanthelion, what race are you playing and what league are you in?

If you are Terran or Zerg and diamond or lower, maybe Blast or I could go over one of your replays with you and tell you what to do different and help you become better.
If you post that on youtube you might get some views out of that, similar to how Darkforce and TaKe did it on his channel, just a suggestion.

Saw a cool thread on TL yesterday on a new show starting called from bronze to masters, 3 day a week nightly show on coaching and going over replays (similar to newbie tuesday) submitted by fans.

Its pretty good, watched an episode last night, starts off from bronze and over the year i guess they plan to get increasingly more difficult and add more and more knowledge to playing. Seems like it will be beneficial for any of us below the masters level of play.

Ya i can agree with that, and i have been playing random so my rating has gone way down (high plat to gold) my strongest was zerg but i am now trying to play all races so i can have a better understanding. My weakest is terran.

Chanman also does a show called coaches corner where he has pros play each other and commentate why they're doing what theyre doing, had Demuslin and someone else last night playing, was really interesting to listen to the tips and random nuggets of timing information demuslim knew.

hey for the newbies itt I found a great way to practise. Go to custom games and search micromacro, you get a partner and you and the partner play 1v1 against another team. One person only handles the macro and the other only handles the micro its really fun and good time to practise specifically micro or macro skills.

Get a spine at your main and transfer it when/about your natural is done.

Get your gas then I like to skip speed and get bane nest then speed but whichever then I'll do a ling/bling pressure etc. Just how I open though

as zerg I play against a lot of terrans or protoss' that fast expand. But on maps with destructable rocks how soon should i get some lings to tear down the rocks so i can get a quick 3rd. It seems like if i stay on 2 bases the toss/terran are able to stay with me on drone count.
