For those that have taken all 4 parts, are the rest as math intensive as FAR?

Hey everyone,
I have an office interview(2nd, after on-campus) for an assurance intern position for this spring. Its a top 10 firm(don't want to say which), curious on any tips you all might have to ace this interview. It'll be with a few partners/managers. I have most of the basic interview questions down, i.e. strengths, weaknesses, team-related, extracurriculars etc.

How challenging is the CMA compared with the CPA exam? And how much did you have to study for it?
I used to be in the big 4 and had my CPA exams in progress, but got a solid industry offer and left before finishing and getting licensed. Now my tests are expired, and i dont have the 150 units or desire to go through that crap again. I will eventually get an MBA, but do want to get a feather in my cap saying i have some accounting knowledge. Wondering if CMA can fulfill that role

I'd say no, in my firm I do it if I have nothing else. I am in a 10 person firm though, so everyhting here is really laid back and as long as you get your stuff done and are ahead of everything then its fine.
For excel probably in all the big firms everything is pre-filled calculations and you just plug and play. Most of mine are addition and subtraction seriously. For tax calculation you let you accounting software do the heavy lifting not excel. I am mostly tax though so it might vary in more accounting function firms."actually lift crew"

Studying at work seems to vary from person to person at my firm. Theres some people that are not assigned to clients yet so they get to literally study the entire work day. Those that are assigned to clients, which is the majority of people I'd say, do not get a single hour of studying during business hours.
The main excel functions are vlookups, pivot tables, and sumifs. Some of the sumifs can get kind of crazy because its sumifs within sumifs. Nothing too crazy though.

I dont know, Im doing an accelerated (14 month) MAcc right now and...Im seriously questioning the decision. Shyt is starting to get real, I feel lost as phuck a lot of the time, and I have a really hard time focusing on this shyt when I try to study.
If I get through this, I dont know if I have it in me to go/study adequately for the CPA. Id honestly be really down to just get a Government job. A Professor was recently talking about how he put in the good word for a girl about to finish the program, and that she got a GS-12 position. Honestly, Id be content as PHUCK if I could get into GS-12 job and Im a veteran...so that should help my chances of doing something like that.

Did you get offers with no internships in your junior year? I actually plan on getting my MACC so I still have another shot for internships next fall.
I wouldn't have cared if I got rejected from the big 4 after applying but I didn't even apply since I missed the deadline lol.
TBH the postings were super confusing and I wasn't sure if it was for a tax internship or not and by the time I realized it was for a tax internship, the deadline had already passed. It was my first recruiting season ever so I just gotta take it as a lesson and not mess up next time.Big Baller Brand Crew
