I have a BodyMedia Fit Link. Funny you ask now, I bought mine a few years ago on Amazon on Black Friday! I bet all these devices will be on sale again, I think I got it then for like $70 with a few months free of the subscription. No way I was paying $100+ for that thing, hamofsavings.jpg

Girl i love my Bodymedia..But i heard they might be phasing out the site and not selling anymore since the company was bought by Jawbone. If it's true that sucks because i don't want to buy another tracker.

That's what I thought I remembered. I'm a little bummed, looks like BodyMedia was sold to Jawbone (ugh), they still sell the devices, but I wonder how the service would be. I'll figure something out. Not essential, but was curious to see what daily calorie burn would be.

I forgot all about that Jawbone thing! Ugh, they sent me an email about that a while ago, ugh, I hope I don't have any problems with it now.
Maybe do a FitBit? I see those things advertised all over the place, I'd assume it's a comparable device, probably similar in price too.Current PRs:

Jesu Christo woman, that much on a close grip bench??? I can't even do the bar with close grip. But seriously, I'm gonna have to ask you for some tips for upper body training with my leg broken again.
I'm glad you're finally in a good healthy groove.
Is the BodyMedia thingy accurate? I am scared of those things because of my whole eating disorder history, but it seems like a kind of neat device."The right to be heard does not automatically include the right to be taken seriously."

I use My Fitness Pal for logging my food and workouts. i sync it to my Bodymedia..for the past week it has not synced. I wrote them and they said they are working on it. I kind of feel like the redheaded stepchild now. When i had this problem a year ago it took them a day to fix it.
They do have a new Fitbit coming out called the Charge..it has a HR monitor too without a strap . I think it's 149..but i bet with the holidays that price will come down.
I will hang on to my Bodymedia till the bitter end...lolDaily Journal

BOOM! Yes more foodz indeed.
That's ok J-dog. I take it that is a fat burner? I personally am not interested there, I am Ham after all.
LMAO, that sums it up pretty well!
Indeed!
Bahhh!! Didn't have time to lift Mon/Tues, was at work later. Shall be lifting some ironz tomorrow and staying home, no I don't want to drive a couple hours each way out of state for T-giving, gonna take a nap with Max, eat buffalo and Reeses Pieces, and watch the 85 episodes of Spongebob I have DVR'ed. Friday going out to one place for Black Friday and shopping online for everything else, also getting washing machine delivered, thank god cause I'm running out of socks and pants! I'll have to do like 6 loads of laundry that day lol. Will be at work a ton starting Monday.
Poor Max, had to go back to the vet, he is still having allergy issues. We have some meds for now and are trying a couple more things, it still may be a food allergy which takes a couple months to clear up, but in the meantime I have a referral to set up an appt after Xmas with a dermatologist vet. We'll get it figured out one way or another. Poor guy is Scratchy-Scratchicus all up in here. Anyways got the meds at a good time since I'll be home for a few days when we have to do it 2x a day, then it tapers off and I have the schedule set up so we can dose him at 9pm daily in case I'm late with work, I want to make sure the meds are done at the exact same time every day.

Haha, we are having a Thanksgiving of peace and prosperity this year. Kinda annoyed I didn't have time to get a small ham at Honeybaked this yr, work has been so busy I've been getting home after dark. Boston Market is open though lulz, I'll try that. Parents are always so funny asking me "are you SURE you don't want to go to x family member's place which is a 3 hour drive?" I am barely willing to put on pants today let alone drive all over the place.
Thanks, started the pills this morning, we got butter EVERYWHERE, we both have to get used to doing this again. Looked up the dermatologist and she has excellent reviews all over the place, we'll call up there tomorrow, we WILL get this problem solved for my little Max.
Lots of lifting I want to do today, prob DL, squat, OHP!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
~~The Life and Times of Ham~~
Sitting here patiently awaiting the new washing machine which will be here in half an hour! I am wearing the weirdest, unmatching clothes ever as I have not been able to do laundry for two weeks.
Went to Petsmart this morning for Black Friday - HOOOOLEEEEE HAM! Ok so it really has been tame in there previous years, busy, but not like nuclear explosion meltdown people are gonna riot. Well today that line was crossed. I guess people are catching on to the Petsmart thing, hell it's the pet equivilant of if the grocery store had everything half price. Opened at 7, I got there at 7:02, not a shopping cart to be found, hundreds of people in the store srs, and within minutes a line forms around the whole store, it was insane. I think a lot of people who run or work at shelters are doing what I'm doing cause people had like 20-30 buckets of the 40lb cat litter on giant shipping carts. So no shopping carts and on my list is litter (got six, that's as crazy as I get lulz) and food which is big/heavy as well. People are getting through checkout, loading their cars, keeping their cart, and going back for another round. Lots of people got mad and left, I was gonna stick it out though. I ended up waiting for people to get through checkout and asked an older lady hey are you going back in a second time? I'll help you load your car and can I have your cart after? BOOM - it pays to be able to throw around 40lb buckets as if they were cans of soup, I am Bicepatus!
The initial line was beastly, wrapped all the way around, you were hearing people who said they waited like an hour in line! First trip legit took me 45min in line. I needed to do three trips to use all the coupons effectively (thrifty ham of peace and harmony) and the second round scouted out a much shorter line in one corner that not a lot of people figued out. Spent like 5-10min in line for the two remaining trips.
Got a huge haul, saved $171 on stuff I'm donating to the shelter, yep this is why people were willing to wait in line for an hour. Will take pics later after washer guys come, but I got cat/dog food both dry and canned, litter, toys, treats, and 4 really nice beds. Got some great stuff for our house as well, JJeane was awesome enough to send me a giftcard a little while ago with a card when Panther passed away. Bought this huge fleece blanket for my pets and got stocked up on the Feliway calming refills for months! Twas a good day. Was there over two hours! I do hate waiting in line but this was not that bad really, might be because of the type of people, wasn't like Walmart people, but was actually talking to a bunch of other pet owners there about our pets, so it was fine.
New plan of peace for next year... in case they run out of carts again I'm going to bring one of my small fold-out dollys from work so I'm not waiting around. I'm sure no one would care, they were letting people use all kinds of shipping carts from the back.
LMAO longest post ever in this journal and not even about bench pressing hippies. Doing this every year is really one of my favorite parts of the holidays.
Rest Day today, was up til 2am online shopping, mostly bodybuilding sups. BB.com didn't have anything really :/ but I hit up a few other sites and got enough PWO and joint caps to last me most of a year, got a couple shirts I've had my eye on, and 10lbs Syntha-6 choc pb proteins. If BB.com has an awesome Cyber Mon maybe I'll get something, would have to be a really good deal though. BRB not having to buy any more supps until next Black Friday!
Will drive to animal shelter tomorrow to deliver the goods. Tonight, we eat pizza!Current PRs:

Wow.. I had no idea that Petsmart would be that crowded. It's wonderful that you give to your local shelter. I do that too.
Last year about a week before Christmas Walmart had a sell on small fleece throw blankets. I bought 12 and then hit Petsmart...lol

Yeah it was nuts, understandable that people even stock up big time for their own pets, that's like what I did with ON Protein tubs last yr, still got a couple left and good til 2016. Too bad we can't feed the normal purina or even blue buffalo to my pets or I woulda bought a 6mth supply with that sale, they're on RX food right now as we try to sort out Max's allergy, he's just has to be speical haha.
Excellent thank you!

Here it is guys, this is all the loot we're donating to the animal shelter.
Got 128lb dry food, 210lb litter, 5 of those Christmas stockings filled with toys, 4 washable beds, 48 cans of food, couple lazer pointers, and a few bags of treats.
We got a few other items for our household too, not pictured, was a crazy sale I tell ya! I'm going to the shelter this afternoon to drop off the goods!
Washing machine delivery went well yesterday, very impressed with how easily those guys carried the old and new washing machines all around, up/down stairs, whole thing took 10min maybe, powerlifters of peace. Running new one for the first time this morning, it's all sparkly and has double the options my old one did. I'm like OMG do I pick "cool" or "cold," "large" or "extra large?!!!" Heehee, so I shall have clean clothes in about an hour.
Apparently USPS is doing Sunday delivery now??? Amazon is saying something is coming Sunday, my Super Cissus joint pills actually. Got lots of fun stuff coming from all the sales. I have to go to work really early Mon so I'm thinking I can go to bed early tomorrow, wake up at like 3:30am, and browse Cyber Monday deals since I won't be home from work til prob 8 or 9pm. Couldn't find any deals on the earbuds I like or the GNC Triflex glucosamine supps. New Balance deal was bad as well, I usually get 3 pairs of work shoes that last me the year.
And I must aware you I have discovered the best dominos pizza of all time srs - BBQ sauce, salami, mushrooms, and DOUBLE cheese. DO IT!Current PRs:
Bench Press: 200x1
Deads: 315x1
Back Squats: 275x1
