nice rowing and kitty statement lol. I think you squat depth is plenty enough rom. Atg is a little too much imo and isnt really necessary. I think there is also a such thing as too much rom that can also cause injury like not enough. You basically should just do enough to where you are getting as much benefit but also stop when it starts getting too uncomfortable and feels unnatural for your body. So anyway very nice squatting! :d

From what I understand, once you hit just below parallel, you're getting all the squat benefit you're going to get.
There are too many beliefs and theories about everything haha. But yes thats what I think as well. I think in almost any exercise too much ROM can be harmful and unnatural so you have to watch how much you use. In terms of the squats I agree that once you get past parallel your hammies and glutes are engaged enough. No need to go down any further. I am sure there will be those who disagree with that though. I say hey do whatever helps you notice the most results even if some people think its ugly haha.

There is a guy at my gym that loads the Smith and the Precor Super Squat with six plates per side (or as many as will fit) and he squats 3", I swear! His legs are smaller than mine, dude! Take the freakin' weights off and squat with some depth!

Hey guise, thank you for all the squat support! Just wanted to point out that even if it is literally 1 centimeter below parallel I do think I technically got below parallel for the first time ever, even had to move the safety bars down a notch, I am going to keep squatting at the depth I was doing yesterday.

Really good things to point out, this felt GOOD, nice and slow and steady, not a single knee or low back twinge was felt that day. I think I found the perfect depth for my squats.

Form looked fine to me, and parallel is a perfectly acceptable place to be at IMO.
It's a lot better than doing all the half- and quarter-squat crap that I see in gyms often.
Guy (rarely girls squatting where I visit sadly) load up 3 plate, step out and just bend their knees slightly and act like it's a feat. You're doing more work than I guarantee they could.

DB chest press- 25x100- 500lb each side

Well guise, due to half my friggin' tooth falling off in my sleep or whatever the hell happened, I now have to go to the dentist Sat morning and get up at like 7am. That was the only time they could do it unless I wanted to wait for a diff week which I don't want to. Rearranging workout days a bit this week, dentist is like halfway between my house and LTF so I'll go up there and do something, but not Back at 9am on a Sat or it'll rustle my hams with the crowd. May try to do Back up there Fri night, ah I dunno. Anyways I'm taking a Rest Day today and icing the hell out of my uncooperative elbow which has been complaining since my last bench press session. I'd like to do OHP and DL tomorrow depending on if the elbow will allow it. Today... nap.
When my parents came out to visit my mom brought me a bunch of snacks like always. She got me a bunch of different baked potato chips to try out, one was this:
OMG best chips I have ever had in my life!!! And before all you health nuts climb up on your High Ham I will point out the macros are 2.5g fat and 100 something cals for a snack bag like these, got some flax seed and other stuff in there, DELICIOUS! But I wanted to stop by and tell you about a conversation my honey and I had. We were watching a story about women trying out for the Navy Seals. I said, "You know, I agree with women not being in the Seals. We are just not able to do what is required. That is unless they're...I don't know..."

Haha!! Thanks RC. With field such as military, law enforcement, fire fighting I have no issue with women being there, however I think there should be some standards for PEOPLE overall as far as being a minimum body weight/height and being able to lift a certain amount in things like DL, power clean, being able to run so fast for so long, etc. I see a lot of dudes in those fields too who probably don't belong there (out of shape, overweight, or are tiny ass people.) I have met many women who are just built big and solid and would fair well at that sort of thing, combine that with training and strength and you have an epic enforcer of law and pain. Me running amuck with a military issued weapon and night vision would not be a good thing for this world. BRB holding up chicken leg stands left and right.

Going to try for a DL/OHP day in a minute, elbow is kinda meh, will tape it if needed. And OMFG HELL HAS FROZEN OVER, I HAVE A VACTION PLANNED! (Well not going anywhere lol, but will be staying away from work for an entire week, yes that's right, the week of July 4th.) I may do a mini deload next week and then go nuts on vacay week. We will see if the elbow needs a solid block of time off from pulling or whatnot. Hams have elbows, who knew? Better get to it before I dig into the 2 dozen deviled eggs I made. A bunch of deviled eggs right before deadlifting has not worked out well in the past for me heehee.
