Yeah, it is the place with the fukking useless coupons
You can absolutely put ribs in the crock pot. I do it all the time. I rub them with a little concoction of chili powder, brown sugar, smoked paprika, salt and pepper, let 'em do their think in the crock pot for about 8 hours on low, and then take them out, slather them with bbq sauce and stick 'em under the broiler in the oven until the sauce is all carmelized. They're really good that way.
I love that look of disdain that kitteh's give when you do something they're not happy aboutJournal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=163596431

Heehee! Kinda reminds me of rotisserie chicken too when he gets butter all over himself from the butter-pill method.
YEAHHHHH!!! Thank you! Is it weird I've never used the broiler thing in the oven? Not entirely sure what that is, srs.

Light weights, easy workout. Forgot to mention that weird foot thing went away (planters fasciitis), and I didn't even really notice at first. I think it happened when I was sick and laying on the couch for a week straight. Zombie hand is doing much better, about 75% of that went away from the cream, not sure why this one side is still there. I'm going to start doing the cream again in a bit to see if that heals it, not going all the way back to the doc just for that meh.
Panther's still doing alright, good appetite and he's doing cat stuff - climbing his tree, sat in a carboard box, watched some birds. His gums still look pale which worries me, but he's getting around fine and acting pretty normal. We'll see the vet on Wed to test his RBC which will tell us if the change in meds is doing anything for him.Current PRs:

Sad kitteh news
My sweet boy Panther passed away yesterday. He had been doing really well after the blood transfussion Fri, was eating tons, drinking tons, had great energy, was strutting around chattering and purring like the king of Ham Manor. I stayed at home all weekend and we chilled out watching Netflix, I got to pet and hold him a lot, he did not leave my side. I thought maybe the new meds are fixing everything, he was good Mon too, but Tues morning he seemed unsettled and wouldn't eat breakfast. I got home from work really early, he greeted me at the door like always, but really looked pale and sick. Our regular vet clinic got us in right away and checked his blood. The normal range for the RBC should be like 25, after the transfusion he got up to a 20, but Tues he was already down to a 10. Our clinic called the hospital vet to see if there was anything that could be done, they said another transfusion but he would have to be hospitalized for several days, I couldn't put him through that and being away from home again so I decided to let him go peacefully at the clinic. I doubt he would've made it another day with his levels dropping so fast. I held him and talked to him til the end, it was really peaceful and he didn't fight it at all, was just his normal sweet self. It is very heartbreaking and at the same time I'm glad he's finally at peace, poor little bro.
Hamly tears everywhere, rampaged a box of kleenex at the vets, and even some of the staff cried too. They were awesome, I've been going there over 10yrs so they've come to know me and my pets very well. Today even our regular vet and the hospital internist both called me to offer condolences and see how I was doing, very sweet of them.
My other two cats are unsettled as well looking for their friend. I'm spending a lot of time with them, and today I've entertained them by putting peanuts on the deck right by the sliding doors. We have two portly squirrels coming right up to the glass and the kittehs are going nuts tryna pounce on them. (Yes I am aware I may come home one day to like 30 squirrels on the deck and it would totally be my fault. )
Me and my buddy this past weekend <3

Oh I am so sorry to hear this Hugs to you and your other kitties. That is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Your vet sounds really awesome. They become attached to their patients and I'm sure it is so tough on them too. Ours was the same way. Gosh, I was really hoping for better news when I popped in here today. So sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry hammie. Losing a pet really really sucks. But, at least you got to be by his side at the end and he wasn't alone.

Thanks Jen, indeed they are awesome x10, they went above and beyond for us in every way.
Thanks Sophie.
Yeah it has.
Yeah dudette, we had a really nice weekend together - couch + Netflix + take out food + kitteh snuggle time.
Very true, was glad I was there, I'm the human he's known, lived with, and loved for many years.
Thanks, oh yes he had a very happy life here.
Thanks Irish.
I'm ok, cried a little at a beer commercial and pull ups today so yeah ok I guess. Oh he was, me too.
Breaks my heart too, but it was worth the happy years I got to have with him by far. Yes I actually told him to say hi to Hobbes for me. We will meet again one day.
Indeed, I want to make sure I'm there with my pets when it's time, I am the person they've spent so many years with, snuggled with, were taken care of by, played with, and shared every day with. He seemed very calmed by me being there holding him. Thank you E, yes it is terribly hard, I take comfort in knowing I did the best I could for him.Current PRs:

Good and fun workout, haven't been to LTF in like a month to do this stuff! Weights were down a bit but that's to be expected, I'll bump it up next week. So many feels to get out dudes, so many feels, felt good ham. I lost a bit of wt just from being stressed and not eating enough I guess, I think this new grocery store is gonna fix that.
New Grocery Store Review:
Ohhh... Emm... Geee! This is the most spectacular, magical grocery store I have ever seen in my life, it's like the LTF of grocery stores srs! It's like a mile from my house and right on the road I drive on to get everywhere so I can stop any time coming home from work. The old one was 1/4th the size and on a busy street out of my way so it was a hassle to get out there. It opened Thurs and despite the giant parking lot I swear it didn't look like there was a single open parking space so I figured I better wait for it to settle down. Went tonight at 10pm.
For setup they get a 10/10 - parking situation is great, huge lot, multiple ways to get in/out of lot with traffic lights. Restrooms right when you walk in, did not test them out because I was so excited to get into the rest of the store. Very clean, organized, extra wide aisles, employees around to help direct people and actually were being helpful and were not 15 years old. Self checkouts, fast lines, lots of people working to move things along.
For selection a 10/10 as well - every dept is HUGE. The butcher dept, bakery, and deli blew me away srs - and I was there at 10pm expecting things to be shut down, I just wanted to check it out, but they had people working at all these depts AT 10PM!!! I got some deli meats and cheeses, man they sliced my cheese so thin it will melt in my mouth oh I love my sharp cheddars! They cook their own fresh hams and turkeys and sell that as deli meat too. They have a hot foods made to order section, you can really get anything you want - wings, pasta, meatloaf, chicken, soups. I got a hot fresh chicken potpie for $3, it's amazing! The bakery has a specialty candy shop and a chocolate dipping station! I got some choc dipped oreos. They had fresh fudge, cakes, cookies, pies, everthing you could think of. Even the pharmacy area was sweet, they have like 2 aisles of protein bars and sell stuff like Xtend.
Holy freaking ham, the existance of this place and fact that I live right next to it is going to make my life like 8% better srs. I am so impressed (I am rarely impressed.) I could go there every two or three days for deli meats and bakery bread just to bring sammiches to work and it wouldn't even be out of my way at all. Thank you wonderful grocery gods who have bestowed such a gift upon me, I am so glad I live here!
(Almost cried when I walked into the bakery, srs, but I am still shedding hamly tears at beer commercials so yeah.)Current PRs:

Thanks Lex, miss him big time. :'( Yep yep, no more ghetto mart for me!
-----------------------------------------------
Bench Press day in a little bit. Just gave Max a bath, actually went better than expected srs. He has this LOUD meow that sounds like NOOOO!!! Was quite shocking, I've never heard that come out of him before, but he didn't use his claws or bite me and pretty much put up with it. He has some itchy skin thing going on, we've been to the vet and have some special wipes we're trying too, got some animal shampoo that's supposed to soothe his skin so he stops scratching. If it doesn't help we'll see the doc again. For right now he smells REALLY good. He was ok after I got him out of the tub, wrapped him in a towel and held him as I hand fed him some treats, started to purr like two minutes later so I think he forgives me. Yep Sunday of peace, making some bbq ribs in the crockpot, washing a cat, and bench pressing, hams gonna ham.Current PRs:
