Meh you would have to write everything you eat so we could look it up on the ratios but my guess is you lack either complex carbs or you don't eat enough times in the day. If you're on a 1400 calories diet (which is extremely low by the way) you should split your meals in 4-5 even 6 times a day. I say you should eat every 2 hours ; SOLID protein,(not shakes, you dont eat enough for it to be effective anyway), veggies and good oils.

    Well...Follow the basics man.

I'm no expert, but I know I start feeling weird like that when I eat low amounts like that. I can't stand it really which is why I'm not cutting all this fat I've been gaining real well right now.

Could be a lot of things. Low carb intake does it for me. Also when I am behind on my water consumption it can have an effect.

Yeah, eating something sugary like a piece of fruit usually cures it.

Oh yeah I forgot...This is a sign of hyperglycemia (or hypo...don't remember). Like Jason said...A fruit temporarily helps but if it's a blood sugar issue...You'll have to check it out with an Insulin exam.

Of course if the fruit/any natural sugar helps don't be cutting the extra hundred calories it gives you. Maybe it's your body's way to say it's hungry

Yeah dude, if you're eating only 1400 cals you're gonna get that. Your body is working on limited fuel. If you're sitting on the couch or sleeping your body is going to try to preserve as much as it can with that much of a deficit, especially if you've recently lost a lot of weight or recently started the cut. When you sit around your body slows your heart rate, breathing rate, blood pressure and metabolism. When you get up, especially quickly your body all of a sudden has to fire all those things up again and you're usually faster than your body can react. I used to get them all the time until my body started getting used to my calorie deficit and adjusting itself. It used to get so bad I'd get the lightning bolts in my eyes. Before you get up just think about getting up for a couple seconds and stretch your legs. Should minimize that for you.

Make sure you're eating enough red meat too, as it could be an iron deficiancy, there is other foods that contain iron but red meat is the highest source by far.

Just brought this up with my doctor yesterday. I had a couple instances where I even had to grab onto something.

According to him, when you lose weight and your blood pressure drops (like mine has), your body just isn't used to it and getting up really fast causes this. No big deal, takes 3-4 beats to get over. Try getting up slower.

That was good enough for me.

I had this same issue pretty bad but lately since I've upped my cals slightly it hasn't happened as often. Never went to the Doc regarding it, I just tried not to stand up to quickly & if I did would have to stand still and hold onto something a few seconds till it passed.

When I first started losing weight I'd get that effect after a bike ride. I'd do a nice 10 mile circuit (which is longer than it sounds when you're a fatass who has been sedentary for a few years), literally riding from my car, ten miles, and back to the car. My drive home from there takes about 30 minutes. When I got out of the car, immediately after standing up I'd get dizzy. I think it had something to do with either low carbs/sugar, or blood flow going to my legs to repair them while I was sitting/driving home.
