    Unhappy Bad Day in Gym

I failed after 2 exercises. 4 sets of 8 on both.
I came into the gym with no energy or motivation, first time in a while.

After the last set I tried my next exercise with a significantly lower weight than normal and barely could get the DB up.

I'm thinking it's because I've been a bit depressed today coupled with not eating before hitting the iron. It was about 6 hours before since I went to gym straight after work.

    inb4 cool story bro

What do you all do when you have a terrible day in the gym?

It's better to have a bad workout than not go at all.

What do I do? I think about how last session felt and go back next time determined to not feel like that.

    Good luck

It's common to have a bad day in the gym.

Last Tuesday I feel the same on my back workout. I got into the gym with no energy, and almost sleeping. I miss 3 exercises for my back, I just did 2 because of my health state.

You might wanna sleep better. Or lower your intensity level on your workouts.

I had a real bad day at the gym last friday doing legs/shoulders. First exercises was squats. 3x8. This was supposed to be the last time doing 97.5kg for active sets and then I could finally get back up to 100kg for active sets. But though the warm up was fine my quads just felt all ****ed up after the first set (And during). I didn't want to risk injury so I had to stop there. The rest of my leg training was just bad. I managed to really push myself on during shoulders to make up for it though.

Best thing I feel like to do when having a bad gym day is to just get mad at yourself and get pumped up and push yourself twice as hard next time.
How much grass could an ass to grass squater squat if an ass to grass squater could squat grass?

Not 100% sure yet but it seems like preworkouts have really been helping me. No bad days =P Maybe an average day at worst

If im having a bad day ill just do my main lift and then go home.

Either that or realize by my warmup sets that today is going to suck and just end up doing some random exercises that i havnt done in a while.
