    Need Expert Advice on (Whey Protein or Weight Gainer)

    Need some expert advice for the last 3 weeks I have been consistenly eating about 6 to 7 times a day averaging about 3200 to 3500 calories a day, Since then I have only gained 2 pounds. I cut my cardio down to 2 x 30 minute sessions twice a week and lift heavy weights to bulk up.

    I am a Hard Gainer and need to put on some weight I would like to start taking some weight gainers for the extra calorie and carbs but dont know what to take so I have a couple of questions.

    1. What is a good Weight Gainer to take?

    2. Do I still need to take Whey Protein if i'm taking a weight gainer.

    Weight gainers my friend (almost ALL) are just loaded with sugar, not something you want. Find alternative ways to get to get extra calories...i.e. if your protein shake is just water and protein...try using Milk, 1 tablespoon Peanut Butter, 1 Banana and some ice cubes.

    If your deadset on weight gainers, I highly suggest you look at the sugar content on them...again you don't want all that extra sugar.

    Thanks I will try the milk approach, I have been putting in the peanut butter and banana to my whey protein. I have an overactive thyroid that keeps my metabolism at a high rate so I need to find that extra 1200 calories so I can total around 4400 cal a day.
