Turned down mlb all star sunday tickets/ cuz its leg day
feels bad man. 5weeks out from my first show. and last time the all star game was litterally down the street from me was 20yrs ago. if that aint dedication idk what is. missing celeb game and some festivities. not the actual game.
key factors in my decesion making:
-what am i gonna eat at the stadium. security is so tight they wont let me take fish in there.
-its leg day and i only have about 8-10 leg workouts left
conclusion: i honestly feel like this shiit is ruining my life.
Point the biggest skeptic out, I'll make him a believer.

Then you should of taken the tickets if you're not happy with your decision.
What would make you more happy ?
1. Not taking the tickets, hitting up the leg day at the gym
or
2. Taking the tickets , take today off, I know they have grilled chicken at every MLB staduim so eat that without the skin and incorporate legs into tomorrows workout ?
Either decision is fine, the right one is the one that makes you happy.
And TBH, hopefully someone more experienced than me can chamr in but I doubt missing one workout/altering the diet 5 weeks out will do any noticeable change.

ur not ur f*cking khakis
dude...bodybuilding is fun...and it's a great, healthy hobby. but don't let it prevent you from doing something amazing like that.
food isn't an issue. you can eat before you go and eat when it's over. problem solved.
reschedule your leg day. not gonna make any difference if you do it a day late or a day early. problem solved.
don't put friends, family or amazing life experiences on the back burner over a stupid phucking contest. it won't hinder your progress in any way to go to this game.

Must try to try
Brah you will regret it
Now you cant cheat within the next 5 weeks, and if you place bad at your show you will feel even worse
If you really think you have a chance at making the top 3 then you should be 100% with everything, if not then you can do stuff like that

There's the attention you were looking for in making this thread. Go to the damn baseball game.

Dude seriously...you won't drop like 30 lbs of muscle if you go more than 3 hours without a meal. Eat before the game, enjoy, don't cheat and then eat again when you're done.
I really think the whole eat every 2 to 3 hours on the dot is WAY overrated. Cals in vs. cals out.

Bad decision....there is more to life than leg day. That was a once in a lifetime chance to do something really cool.....and you are going to regret it. There is always a way to get the workouts in, eat your prep food on schedule, and have a life...if you can't do it then something is amiss in your planning.

No, "this s**t" isn't ruining your life....you are ruining your life. You need to take a step back and re-prioritize. Is it worth "ruining my life" for a plastic trophy....I don't think so.

You do legs twice a week? To me you aren't hitting them heavy enough! Put more weight on hit some deep quality reps and you should NOT be able to train them again for at least 6 to 7 more days!!!
Anyway a relaxing couple of hours doing something you enjoy will make it much easier for the next 5 weeks. My best workouts ever were ones where I felt I had to make up for the one before.

incorrect sir, you can train them again after 3-4 days. After a few weeks of hitting them twice a week your body will adapt and your recovery will become MUCH better (repeated bout effect)
THe power/hypertophy setup/program has worked wonders for many on this board myself included. Is there a problem NOT working them twice a week, no but dont knock something till you have A) some evidence to back up your statement B) tried it yourself.
Stay humble. I will never see myself as even an above average bodybuilder. Regardless of how many shows you win, stay grounded and aim for improvement.

I don't like baseball, so I would have made the same decision. But if it was an NBA all star game, I'd be going to that damn game. Take a protein bar or some sh!t, hide it somewhere if you have to eat at a predetermined hour, every hour.

Grow Time
Cut your meals down to around 3-4 that day, eat larger with each meals farther apart..Maybe eat right before you leave since it is so close, take some amino tablets with you to pop during mid game, then eat when you get home. Train legs the next morning and just move everything a day later. THe body doesnt know a 7 day schedule, it just knows you didnt do something. Just dont miss it for a game like most, just re-do it before going onto the next thing.
