    So is it BAD to do abs everyday?

    i'm not talking really intense with weight, but some crunches with weights. i look online and it's like 50/50 people say its only muscle you can workout everyday with out a rest day and the other 50 say you should give it a rest day like any other muscle group.

    i really dont mind doing them everyday because i can just do crunches in front of my tv in the living room easy enough.

    All muscles react the same. To make it grow, break muscle fibers and give it time to repair. If you want them tighter, you can do them everyday.

    Abs need about 24 hs to recover completely (it's not like a bigger muscular group like chest or legs, which need at least 48 hs to recover), so I'd say you CAN train them everyday if it's not very intense.
    I prefer to train them 3-4 days a week, though.

    don't train them everyday,
    most noobies think that when they workout they gain muscle mass, YOU DON"T!! you are actually breaking muscle fibers, so your muscle signals your brain that it needs to build more mass, and it does.
    what do you need to build muscle mass:
    workout
    food { mainly protien }
    REST
    most muscles recover within 48-72 hours

    depends on intensity...but there are those "few" that get great results from hitting them hard everyday(5/week).

    Why would you need to? It won't get you a six pack any faster. If anything, it'd probably slow you down because you aren't letting the muscle fibers repair (as previously mentioned).
