    Question Cheat meals concept?

These past two weeks I have been unable to resist some treats *blush* and have some concerns!

I am 23 years old, 5'4 and 110 pounds and run for 1 hr and 15 minutes everyday plus I do 2 days of weight training and 3-4 hot yoga classes a week... Im extremely active!!

Recently I have been going out for dinner and induldging in a huge dessert (for any Canadians out there its the white chocolate brownie at moxies classic grill *drool*) and am fearful it is all going to catch up with me and make me gain significantly!
note: The brownie is giant and comes with 2 scoops of vanilla icecream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream; def. over 1000 calories!

Im confused about the whole cheat meals concept! I am wondering, while being so active and eating clean in all of my other meals, if eating this treat once or twice a week would be damaging? Does my activity level make this ok? I am hoping I will get sick of them soon but they are so delicious!

    Thanks for everyones input!!

If you aren't adjusting the rest of your calories, then an extra 1000 or so a couple times a week will definitely affect your results. If you are trying to lose weight, and you're generally creating a 500 kcal deficit each day, then eating that treat twice a week will essentially reduce your deficit to about 200 per day. If your deficit was even smaller to begin with, then a few treats here and there can easily negate the whole thing.

It really depends on your goals and your calorie intake the rest of the time, but those cheats will definitely catch up with you.

You are 23 years old and 110lbs at 5'4" and overtrain your body. Eat a dessert now and then and don't worry about it. You prolly only eat 1000k cals a day anyway too given the rest of your post. In fact eat a dessert every night of the week. I bet you cannot gain fat that way.

Yeah.... this one is yet another train wreck just waiting to happen. Underweight, over exercising and worried about "eating clean" because she might accidently get fat == RED FLAG city. We should send posts like these directly to the ED board for some help. Sorry but all signs point to danger in here.

Sounds like you are doing alot of exercise so no need to worry about the odd cheat.

Depends what you are training off (eg if you are cutting for a comp its a no no) but otherwise don't panic... I've read quite a few places that a calorie body shock one day a week is a good thing (I assume thats if you dont go too mental) as your body gets used to low cal its starts a adapt so sometimes a treat and few extra cals and fats would give things a boost - im not trained in anyway just what i've read.

I have friend who compete and they think a cheat meal is extremely important. I think a cheat is the only way i stay focused for the rest of the week!!

I seriously don't think as long as you don't kick the a$$ out of it your fine. Life is for living a little....
