Creatine Not Dissolving

Its Optimum Micronized Creatine. I just took 5 grams of it for the 1st time in 12 ounces of room temperature water and it didnt dissolve. I stirred it for a good minute before drinking it and after I drank all the water there was still easily at least a gram or more sitting at the bottom of the glass.

I added more water and stirred again and after doing this a 3rd time, I finally got it all out of the cup.

Did I do something wrong?

Nah you did it right...it usually will not dissolve completely.

You just have to keep shaking/stirring it and drinking it before it settles

Edit: I drink it with a straw sometimes so I can keep stirring and get the last bit at the bottom that settled.

Creatine is not water soluble, it won't dissolve. It makes a crappy suspension at best. I toss a scoop of it in my post workout whey, the whey seems to hold it in suspension better and makes it easier to drink down in one attempt. Or do what dirtdogg said.

I actually really enjoyed the taste of it as well. The bottle says unflavored but it had a little something to it and I actually liked it.

you could always blend up a couple lbs of steak with water and drink that

or blend the steak with warm grape juice for better creatine absorption.

Try mixing it with yogurt or with pudding.
