I was in NYC one time with my girl. We were in Manhattan and came across a very large group of members of the black power movement. They were all in a circle with arms around each other with one guy yelling about 'now is the time to get revenge....we must speak thru our actions..blah blah blah...violence is ok...etc'.

It was only my girl and I on a side street in lower Manhattan. We walked by very quickly and tried our best not to be noticed.

I am from the deep south and am completely comfortable around black people...I actually prefer to be in mixed company, over all whites. But this was EXTREMELY uncomfortable.

Whilst there is no reason why people of different races can't get along it is bordering on insanity to deny that there is biological influences that both make us attracted to our own race and biological differences that make different races unique.

Also not really ontopic but let me say that I am white as can be (pure anglo blood) and I hear people often complain about black/mexican/asian pride days and history days. I personally do not mind these types of days so long as they aren't used for forcing affirmative action and **** and millions more like these days but it boggles my mind that any suggestion of white pride will see you labelled a nazi or a suggestion of white history will inevitably begin with slavery.
