Effectiveness of PUA/DYD/etc against 16/17yos?

I've been thinking about this for a while: the title pretty much says it all. How effective is PuA and Double Your Dating stuff against 16/17yos? From my (reasonably limited) experience, I can't see it working except against the very hottest chicks at this age, because most girls haven't built up enough time to have been constantly hit on by guys, realise their 'power', etc. A lot of girls at this age seem to respond way more to humour, especially random, stupid humour and behaviour, not confidence and the type of internal communication that PuA/DYD preaches.

It works on all ages believe me.. I used that stuff in highschool to deadly effect.

If anything, it is the most effective and suitable for teens. Adults following the lifestyle is what's ridiculous.
