    Other supplements interfere with creatine?

I'm getting creatine for the first time. I've not started taking it yet; it's not even been delivered yet. I've ordered L-Carnitine with it. Creatine and L-Carnitine are fine together, right? Also: I have L-Theanine after my workouts. Is it okay to have creatine and L-Theanine together? Does anyone else have creatine and L-Theanine together?

Creatine won't interfere with anything especially not l-carnitine which is a waste of money. Why l-theanine? Maybe good before sleep or to offset stims pre workout but after, I don't know what it would be good for

L-Theanine greatly reduces cortisol so it is good for recovery. I put 100-200mg in my whey, that I sip between sets. In the few hours after my workout, my cortisol will be lower.

Having some protein within a couple hours after training will balance out cortisol. You actually need a little cortisol for proteolysis which is necessary for to build new contractile proteins. Cortisol levels that are too high is a different story but I highly doubt this is the case with you or 99% of those who lift.

So I'd actually make more gains without theanine, and just with my unmanipulated cortisol level? (To avoid it being too low?)

Gains will come from long term lifting plus enough calories to support muscle growth. Taking l-theanine after will have no impact here is pretty much what I am saying. Personally I would find it more beneficial prior to sleep or maybe pre workout if consumed with stims.

Taking Creatine is fine, a few grams daily will help. Once saturated, it should help push that extra few reps out.

Just make sure that you don't take Agmatine and Creatine together and you will be fine.

Why would you theanine post workout? Theanine is synergistic with caffeine.
