some people are delusional and let nostalgia cloud their judgement of the Pride HW division.
Let's see:
Pride:
Fedor -lost to werdum who jds beat, overated and can only beat UFC rejects like Sylvia and Arlovski and Lindland.
Barnett - overrated juicer who lost to Cro Cop three times and Cro Cop can't hack it in the UFC
Nog - beaten up by Mir,Cain.
Cro Cop - beat 2 horrible fighters in unremarkable fashion and got beat by a couple UFC guys not even in top 10
Sergei - guy got beat by Monson who couldn't even beat Sylvia
Randleman - Couture already beat him; Liddell beat him--guy's a joke
Coleman - this old man raped Pride's whole division in one nightLast edited by John_Connor; 07-06-2010 at 07:37 PM.

Let`s settle this at the annual survivor series. Team Lesnar vs. Team Fedor.
It`s gonna be five on five though, so:
Team Fedor:
Fedor Emelianenko
Aleksander Emelianenko
Mirko CroCop
Big Nog
Josh Barnett
vs.
Team Lesnar:
Brock Lesnar
Shane Carwin
Cain Velasquez
JDS
Frank Mir

lol 4 years from now everyone will call the guys Lesnar is fighting cans. JDS, Carwin, Cain, Roy Nelson...oh wait Brock only fought one of those guys so far.
How bout we let Brock beat a few more decent guys first.
And please, if someone is seriously going to crap on Tim Sylvia and Arvloski, you could just as easily crap on Mir who hasn't looked hot lately either.Access the gun's off the earth axis

No one is going to do what Fedor did. But I do think Lesnar has the potential to be the greatest heavyweight of all time at this point. I don't see it as being very likely, but if he beats Cain and JDS he's well on his way.

youre delusional, the fight with couture was the fight that first showed lesnar didnt like getting hit, especially when randy cut him open and worked him in the clinch aganist the cage. lesnar controlled the herring fight the entire time on the ground and never got hit standing up, you can throw that statement out the window. and despite mir being overrated as a striker being that hes really sloppy and slow, lesnar was still afraid to get hit by him and pulled a bob sapp by running straight backwards every time punches were thrown his way.
dude literally closes his eyes, bob sapps backwards, and turtles up when punches are thrown at him. brock isnt a fighter, dude is nothing more than an athlete. put him against a real fighter like alistair overeem, and its a wrap for brock. gonna be hard for lesnar to run and turtle up when ubereem goes hyper dutch cyclone on him and KO's him via knees of death

Proof he's afraid of getting hit right here /\ /\ /\
Like he said, he closes his eyes, runs away, and goes fetal(goes lesnar). His stand-up is comical, it's seriously funny! I see Carwin keeping it standing in the rematch and just beating the **** outta him until he quits.I'm not saying we should kill all the stupid and lazy people, just that we should eliminate warning labels and welfare, let the problem take care of itself.

If you refer to a fighter who you've never met in real life as "my boy" as though their performance somehow reflects well on you for simply being a fan, you're a lame ass.

lol Oh, I knew why you did it and totally understand. You might as well say '**** it' and type what you want anyway. Right or wrong, it can't be nearly as bad as most of the drivel in this thread. I mean, have you read half the posts on any Fedor and/or Brock thread? They are ridiculous and borderline retarded.

he won all those fights also
he doesn't have best defense yet but he does good job of avoiding getting hit which is smart. What do you want him to do stand there and get ko'd? U mad he became hw champion of best organization in the world in less then 2 years training? And has fought champions in his last 3 fights finishing all of them early in 2nd? Or how about not fighting for a year and nearly dying coming back in first fight back to finish the scariest hw striker ufc has ever seen?
I swear the brock haters on here are ridiculous don't give him any respect for what he has done which is quite remarkable with his experience.Last edited by someonefat; 07-06-2010 at 03:22 PM.

lesnar sucks.
none of his wins are impressive
min soo kim - can with more losses than wins
heath herring - out of his prime, fedor's sloppy seconds
randy couture - 44 years old and passed his prime, came off a 16 month layoff
frank mir - always been overrated, glass jaw queen who folds against bigger and more athletic fighters
shane carwin - overrated prospect who pretty much gassed out and handed brock the win on a silver platter

no he wouldnt, fedor would have brock turtling up, then have the cardio to also finish him
fedor would completely destroy brock
werdum would beat brock too. werdum's muy thai is decent, his standup is still light years ahead of brocks. brock would still go to his bread and butter looking for the takedown, but then get submitted by werdum
sorry

Way to sugar coat it. "doesn't have best defense yet but he does good job of avoiding getting hit"
HAHAHAH!!!!! LOLOL! Understatement of the YEAR!
How about fight back instead of running away with his eyes closed turtling up into the fetal position? I mean, this is MMA, a COMBAT sport. It usually does involve striking of some sort.
His striking is comical. Hell, it's an embarassment. He really should be ashamed of how bad his stand-up is. It should be called stand-up comedy! He can't take a punch, he's afraid of getting hit, it's funny really.
I can't think of ONE fighter currently in UFC with worst striking than lesnar! He's got to be the worst, has anyone else ran away from a punch and gone fetal immediately since UFC III??? Hell, MATT HUGHS HAS BETTER STRIKING!!!!!I'm not saying we should kill all the stupid and lazy people, just that we should eliminate warning labels and welfare, let the problem take care of itself.
I do not support military action in Syria.
