    Exclamation First Time Competitor

Today is day 2 of my cutting cycle for a show scheduled on October 30th. I'm currently around 300 pounds after 8 months of bulking (so much fun) and if I had to guess I would say about 19% body fat at 6'1''. Any tips anyone has regarding contest prep would be extremely helpful since I have about 16 weeks to shed off approximately 50 pounds!

    Hi Jonathan!

I just noticed your post... I have not been on this forum in quite some time!

How is your progress going? I am also a competitor and my husband is a nutritionist and trainer. He has worked and continues to work with many competitors, pro and amateur, throughout the country.

If you need any feedback or help along the way don't hesitate to PM or email us at onstageimage@yahoo.com

    Hope all is going well!!!

It is tough to lose 50 lbs in that short of a time
in reality 1st step get bf estimate for lean muscle then calculate calories needs based on lean body muscle estimate
then try to figure on losing 2 lbs a week with calorie loss from diet
    and cardio.

Again first time contest 50 lbs is a lot to do.
