    How many calories should you leave for the body to function it's daily activities?

    I figure I am burning around 500-900 calories a day (depending on the workout and cardio length) and I am consuming around 1700 calories a day (my maintain -1000). I am just wondering how many calories should I make sure to leave for my body to perform its daily activities. Or does it not matter?

    You already said what your maint was... that's what your body uses for its "daily activities"

    True, but I was just wondering if there is a certain caloric amount you should leave for your body everyday.
