This is potentially a stupid ass question but whatever. When people say small or big boned, are these just euphemisms for being skinny and fat? Are peoples bones all the same size (width, not length), and the reason one person is bigger than the other is because they have more weight / mass? Or is the bigger person's bones bigger than the smaller person?

Lifting weights increases bone density, and it is partly hereditary. You can't increase the actual width, but you can increase the density, which makes it stronger and less likely to fracture. You can also increase your ligament and tendon strength, and lots of tiny guys who start to lift end up with much bigger ribcages (I think) but there is no way of actually making your bones wider.

Exactly..Imo its better to have small bones because your muscles can cover up your bones better..A person with a big frame can look chunky and they need alot more muscle on there frame to look good. Theres pros and cons to each. Look at Jim Cordova for example..Example of an Animal with smaller bones but a large amount of muscle packed onto his frame

I hate when people bring up wrist size. My wrist is 6.5 inches but the rest of my body is big and all of my bones have a large frame. But yeah you can't change bone size, sorry dude.
Current/By July(Beginning of summer) - Bench to chest, squat parallel, deadlift no belt or straps.
Bench: 215/250
Squat: ???/315
Deadlift: 390/450

yea being small boned sucks... but the thing I like about a small frame is you are usually wayyyyy stronger than you look. My goal is to be like 180-190 (I'll prob look like 170) and lift like a guy that looks 210 plus.
plus if you have a smaller frame, you might look relatively "normal or smaller" with a shirt on, but when you take ur shirt off its nothing but compact solid muscle. which I think is kinda cool
