Combine P90X with Weight Routine - Possible?

I can only make to my gym a few days a week, and after two of my friends had great success with P90X I wanted to give it a shot as well.

I am looking to combine a weight routine with P90X if possible? I can do weight training 2-3 days a week at the gym, otherwise I need to workout at home.

Has anyone tried doing this before? Would it be overtraining to do both?

I did a P90X video today and it kicked my butt, so I am thinking this would be good for my days when I have to workout at home?

I have just over 90 days until my wedding, and my goal is fat loss, and retaining my current LBM.

Were you weight lifting before? What is your body fat percentage? What's your protein intake look like. Etc, etc, etc...

I have been doing a Push/Pull/Legs routine for the last few weeks, going 3 days a week, and doing 30mins of cardio afterwards. I don't feel like I am working out enough, but due to scheudle restrictions I can only go to the actual gym 3 days a week, which is why I want to workout at home instead.

Bodyfat is around 23% last time I checked, which was about a month, so I doubt it changed too much.

Protein itake is 1g per pound of LBM each day, my daily macros are usually about 180-200g of protein, 150-160g carbs, and 50-80g of fat.

    Cutting at 1800-2000 calories daily.

You can totally combine p90x with regular workouts. That would be great for a fat loss and strength gain program

I wasn't sure how to do it since P90X is 7 days a week. I was thinking of just doing a mix, but since I don't know how it all works I figured I would ask here.

You can substitue a legs day for a p90x legs workout or something like that. Just substitue workouts whether it be p90 or gym

Yea, since your days likely change just substitute that area in the gym if your going in.
The P90x schedule is fairly straight forward similar to what people here would suggest, just different excersises.

If its an arm/back day on P90x just concentrate on those in the gym. And P90x is only 6 days a week...one day is a rest day.

    1 day weights
    1 day cardio

    repeated 3 times a week
