Dumbbell Shoulder Press vs Standing Military Press vs Sitting Military Press ?

Which do you guys use and believe is more beneficial? I am thinking of starting 5/3/1 soon and can't decide which to use. I have been using sitting shoulder press for my entire lifting career and have recently started doing sitting military press. Do you guys think standing military press would be more beneficial for hitting shoulders? It seems like sitting would aid in form/hitting the shoulders better. Thoughts?

i think the only advantage to standing military would be the core workout you get. i used to do seated bb press and that hits the shoulders real hard just make sure your sitting pretty straight up and not at in incline angle, then you would be doing incline and not a seated press. but then again that wont happen when your standing.

for size gains i'd lean more toward seated db press as you can concentrate more on the delts..if for power/strength i'd do the standing military press

I only do seated. I do BB on my power day and DB on hypertrophy day. I get enough core work outside of military press and would rather be able to use more weight and get more of a shoulder workout. Why let my core hold me back from getting a better shoulder workout?

Good pressers have big abs. You want abs? Do them standing.
