Importance of Protein Post Workout...
Ok guys, I'm getting paranoid.
You're meant to have protein like within 30 mins ish of after you workout.
Would it make much of a difference it I had it say 1 hour afterwards, my protein shake this is.
Its just I wasnt able to have it for a while after my workout today.
2 Questions:
Will it make much of a difference?
What will the difference be? Like how does it effect you?
Cheers

I doubt it's going to make a difference as long as you get the protein in your system. Your muscles aren't going to stop needing protein because you had it a little later than normal.
"The last three or four reps is what makes the muscle grow. This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is not a champion. That's what most people lack, having the guts to go on and just say they'll go through the pain no matter what happens."

45mins - 1 hour are essential

It won't be that much of a problem, but make sure you get some simple carbs in right after training to stop your body from burning muscle for energy. And I'm not talking M&M's or 8 snicker bars, I mean dextrose or a fruit of some kind.. apples are good.

You have a 2 hour window to restore Glycogen with simple carbohydrates, such as drinking a coca cola, or orange juice.
I cant believe people all over this site believe when you workout for 45 - 60 mins or longer, then have a protein shake, it goes straight to your muscles? Are you serious! LOL
I personally believe in eating a small snack pre-workout, so thus when its digesting, you are getting good energy, and can keep going longer, stack that with a pre-workout that doesnt upset your stomach when ur full, ull be blasting through those sets!
I know people will hate me for this, but hey, im making gains week in and week out and im not even ingesting a protein powder, whole food is the BEST! The help of AGENT-M and PURPLE-K might be helping me though
