    Guys with huge arms doing light weight in my gym

    Theres these two older guys both 30+. Both have no delts, freakishly ugly big tri's, huge bi's, no chest, no legs, no traps. And all they do in the gym is curl 25lb dumbbell's and 35lb barbells really slow.

    25 pound dumbbells?
    At the end of my bicep workout I can't curl the 20s.. so 25s isn't super light bro.

    Resistance > weight. Perfect form = more resistance.

    They have probably been working out for 10 years, even if they dont follow a strict diet plan or anything like that, they will still have decent gains if you've been working out that long.

    You don't need a 315 pound bench to have a big chest, you don't need to be curling 60s to have huge biceps.

    You need enough microtrauma at the end of the workout.

    Curls is the #1 lift people do too much weight and have shtty form.

    For DB curls I do 25lbs but PERFECT form. I see those phags doing 40lb+ swinging their arms and shoulders all over the place and sht. Looks ridiculous and they are getting a sht workout.

    don't really need to go heavy for bicep , strict form and focusing on the actual bicep is what makes them grow, dunno why guys are doing bicep swings and using there back to lift heavy curls.

    Ummm, Jay cutler has one of the best chests in the world.
    His working set is like 345 pounds on a hammer strenght or on a smith machine.

    I have people at my gym that do this weight.
    The point is, he knows how to utilize his chest.

    I'm not saying heavy weight = bad, I'm saying you don't need to bench 600 pounds to have Jay Cutler's chest or I should say, an impressive chest.

    Go to any ghetto gym in the USA, you will see dudes benching 285 for reps, easily.
    Their chests look like 16 year olds' chests.

    They don't know how to train right, eat right too.

    slow eccentric control causes more microtrauma to the muscle which aides in muscle growth
    but
    muscle growth also occurs from the nautral occlusion that occurs from the concentric phase (to sum it up) via hormones, stuff like that.
    so controlled eccentric + forceful heavy resistance= best conditions for muscle growth

    inb4 i get into an argument with some idiot.

    my arms are 17.5 inches pumped and i rarely use anything more than a 35 lb dumbell or 25's on the EZ bar.

    its all about form, and intensity.

    If someone is benching 285 for reps, then I'd say that they do know how to train. That's not an easy thing to do.

    I do bis with back and tris with shoulders.....by the time I get to bis or tris I really dont need the heavy ass weight. I only got 17.5 inch arms pumped though so I am no expert.

    i exctally knwo what you mean there is 2 guys in my gym also about 30+ i think one is like 40ish all i see them doing is high reps etc for arms like bench dips for triceps hamemr curls and barbell curls for biceps but real ligth weight and high reps ****in best arms i ever seen, srs.

    ive got 17.5 inch pipes (pumped) and ill often be found using the 15 or 20 lb dumbells for curls
