2 years in current position, 3 with the company.
Sales reps start out at around 45k a year.
Man smoken hot womenz love their iPhones.
YES! If you are eligible for upgrade any time this year ( up to December 31st) you are eligible to upgrade to the new iPhone upon release. You can get the 16 gig iPhone 4 for 199 with 2 year contract. ( extends yours to two years ) Just call AT&T or go into a store. I'd wait until after launch though, tbh.
You can call customer care ( 611 ) and have them change the shipment address to the stores. Launch day is going to be crazy though so you're better off getting it shipped to your house.
NFC. Above my pay grade. Probably closer to Christmas though. Expect it to be over priced though.

No you won't have to. When they iPhone 4 was announced AT&T changed it so that everyone who already had a iPhone would be eligible for a regular upgrade. ( if they would be eligible this year )
It's not cheap. Gotta pay 39.99 for the minutes ( 450 ) and then texting either 5 bucks for 200 or 15 bucks for 1500 or 20 bucks for unlimited. Data is either 15 bucks a month for 200 mb ( rip off ) or 25 bucks a month for 2 gigs.
Not really. For a kid with out a college degree I make more then most of the people in this town. Our commission is still uncapped but hourly start about 11 an hour.
Man that **** was ****ing dumb. When I got to work we had a line of about 40 people and opus was down. Ended up doing 25 pre-orders though so not a bad day. We ended up closing an hour early though, first time since i've been with the company that I've seen us close early, because the system was down and we didn't have a line.

not really. I know some of my co-workers. Some of our reps are the dumbest in the country. However I've talked to some stupid ****ing apple reps in my time.
Yes but it's tricky. If you call up care or go into a store and ask for your account to be transfered into a "NBI" account in order to have more then five phone lines you can do it. A NBI account is classified as a business line but you don't actually have to own a business to get it.
It's a pretty annoying and long process and pretty much every rep you talk to is going to be pissed because we don't get paid on it and it takes like an hour to do but it can be done. If you get a smart rep on the phone then it's pretty painless. If you get a dumb one then you're ****ed.
Yes. We have a price protection policy in place that will let you return it, as long as you're reasonable over the 1 month policy. I'd go talk to a store manager and just tell them what's up and that you didn't know there was going to be a new iPhone and would like to trade it in for a new one. My store manager would allow the upgrade. It really is a case by case basis though and it's the managers judgement. If they say no then sucks. =/
I don't personally see the point but if you want to jail break go for it. Just realize that we could lose our job if we advise you how to do it, which most reps are stupid and couldn't tell you anyways. Outside of Multi-tasking I don't see why jail breaking is as popular as it is. Just a personal preference though. Jail break and tether all you can though because the 20 dollar tethering fee that we just started charging is by far the biggest rip off this company has ever done.Last edited by Aethix; 06-15-2010 at 08:32 PM.
