    Advice for my wife

My wife is 43 and is trying to loose some weight. Maybe about 20lbs. She does Zumba 45min at a time. My question is, is this too intensive? I think she would benefit more from a 60 min brisk walk every day. Any input would be appreciated.
I train to make myself feel good, not to make others feel bad.

if a walk really pushes her, then it would help. i am not a believer in the 'walk yourself fit' movement. she needs to challenge herself and get outside her comfort zone.

Why do you think it's "too intensive"? What makes a walk better than the exercise she does?

Aside from that, exercise is great, but if she wants to lose weight, she's going to have to control what she eats. You can exercise until you turn blue in the face and fall over, but if you're eating more than you burn, you won't lose. So if she feels hungrier after doing her workout and eats more (which is common - people will unconsciously eat more) or justifies eating more because "hey I worked out today, so I can have this!" ... she won't lose weight.
