    Building Strength

I am a highschool baseball player. My goal is to become stronger, not neccessarily to add mass because I don't want to lose my flexibility. So would it be better for my workout consist of heavy weights and low reps, or lighter weights and more reps?

I would get in contact with a college coach to see what he would recommend.

--The proper plural form of the Latin adjective biceps is bicipites, a form not in general English use. Instead, biceps is used in both singular and plural (i.e., when referring to both arms). The form bicep [sic], although common even in professional contexts, is considered incorrect. (from Wikipedia)

Once you're familiar with technique, heavy weight and lower reps definitely.

Adding mass doesn't necesarilly mean you'll lose flexibility. Just make sure you maintain or increase your mobility via static and dynamic stretching drills.

A program like Starting Strength or Maximum Strength would be well suited.
